Looks like DT 2017 has its own Classic East/West-style speculation re: line-up acts.

"Report: Led Zeppelin Are Reuniting for Desert Trip Festival 2017!" (https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/report_led_zeppelin_are_reuniting_for_desert_trip_ festival_2017.html)

Just what could Plant mean by "any time now"?

Oh my! Oh my!! Thank you, D., for sharing this happy news.

UPDATE: A knowledgeable source believes Robert Plant's cryptic web site message is "only" to do with the release of his new album. [pained sigh]

Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be this year. There will be no Led Zeppelin reunion at Desert Trip 2017 b/c there will be no Desert Trip.

Could it be because the Classic Concerts tickets have not sold out?

I don't think that's the reason. I read elsewhere that the promoters spent tons of money on last year's event with less than expected returns, and may have had problems getting enough big name acts for this year. Plus they are the same ones involved with Coachella and other festivals and maybe it was too much to deal with. Then there's always next year.
