... the Zombies (often seen Colin Blunstone at the Beaverwood but haven't ever seen the Zombies) and the Kast-off Kinks, a genuinely nice guy. I saw the Kast-offs at a venue local to me.

Very sorry to hear it. He seemed like a lovely man. I've seen the Zombies a couple of times in recent years when Jim was playing with them. Yet another unwelcome reminder to appreciate these great musicians while they're still around.

I have all the Argent records with Russ Ballard. Jim Rodford was a very, very melodic bass player. Although I don't know which lines he wrote and which lines the writer/writers of the song wrote.
