Thank you all for all the lovely wishes for my Birthday. It was a bit strange. Started by waking up to a 'RED' weather alert, meaning over 8cm of snow had fallen overnight. Showers had been expected, but this hadn't. On a positive note there was a text from work saying that the school is closed for the forseeable future. On the negative side it meant that I spent 3 hrs on the phone trying to find care for my mother as her carer was unavailable - it was too treacherous to go myself. As the kids were off we started with a pancake breakfast, had a bit of fun in the snow, and watched TV. We had booked a meal in a local restaurant so luckily we were able to go ahead with that but sadly my Mum and sister couldnt make it. I had hoped to go to the cemetery to Dads grave too but as thats half way up the mountains it was a no hoper from the start, hopefully I will get there next week.

But, yes, it was a lovely day - I cannot believe I'm 50 - feels like I'm still 20. Roll on the next 50
