So, this is my first real thread here.
Just imagine, you can make a dream setlist, all your favorites to be played live.
Which songs would you pick for this? The limit is 30 songs. You can either put them in a realistic order (like mine), or in any way you want. You can also put the personnel (again like mine)

This is my dream setlist. It is a mix of songs from the Eagles LP to The Long Run. Some hits and deeper cuts. This is a bit outlandish, as it will include songs from both Timothy and Randy (hope you are fine with this):

EDIT: If you don't mind, can you also put your favorite live version of the songs adjacent to the name of the songs, please? These are mine:

EDIT 2: Changed the setlist a bit, added Wasted Time, made things more detailed.

version)

First welcome to board! My personal group would have Bernie for all the songs he was on, and Walsh on the songs he was on. Randy would sing all his songs plus harmonies. TBS would sing just I can’t tell you why. My song list doesn’t have a particular order to it that would take too long but here it is

1. Seven bridges road
2. Take it easy
3. Peaceful easy feeling
4. Witchy woman
5. Doolin Dalton plus reprise
6. Desperado
7. Those shoes
8. Wasted time
9. Tequila sunrise
10. Outlaw man
11. Train leaves here this morning
12. My Man
13. Saturday night
14. Get over it
15. Hotel California
16. New kid in town
17. Try and love again
18. Victim of love
19. Life in the fast lane
20. My Man
21. On the border
22. The long run
23. One of these nights

Nice setlist, although not the most realistic, but this is a dream one afterall right? 😉

Yeah. There are plenty of songs they wouldn’t do today. They came close to In the beginning of the Hotel California days minus the Bernie songs and the long run and LROOE tracks

I just want to say is the placement of Hotel California. I just can't see it being in the middle of the show. It just feels out of place. IMO it should either open the show or open a encore

I didn’t put my songs in a specific order so if that was confusing. I agree. I just can’t put 30 songs in an order. I’d be too indecisive about it!

Any dream setlist of mine would include original founding member Bernie Leadon.

Train Leaves Here This Morning, 1973 BBC London
Lazy Days, 1973 Berkeley
Bitter Creek, 1973 Berkeley
Journey of the Sorcerer, 1975 Boston

Decent selection, but what I meant is, like a whole setlist, not just a few songs

Okay. Since I had time, I have made a more realistic, thought out order of your setlist. It is somewhat like the Tiger Jam concert where it starts out with certain people. The first personnel is the original four, then Felder joins, then Walsh, then Schmitt, and after that, two songs with everyone. It is mostly chronological, somewhat similar to THOTE tour.

SET I: WITH BERNIE AND MEISNER:

Peaceful Easy Feeling
How Long (JD Souther cover)
Train Leaves Here This Morning
Witchy Woman
Tequila Sunrise
Saturday Night
Outlaw Man

SET II: FELDER JOINS:

Doolin Dalton followed by Reprise
On The Border
Already Gone
Good Day in Hell
Desperado
Take It To The Limit
After The Thrill Is Gone
One of These Nights

SET III: LEADON LEAVES, WALSH JOINS:

New Kid in Town
Victim of Love
Try And Love Again
Wasted Time

SET IV: MEISNER LEAVES, SCHMITT JOINS:

I Can’t Tell You Why
The Long Run
Heartache Tonight
Those Shoes
Waiting in the Weeds
Get Over It

ENCORE 1: MEISNER RETURNS:

Hotel California
Life in the Fast Lane

ENCORE 2: BERNIE RETURNS:
Seven Bridges Road
Take It Easy

5th song, yes. I wasn't happy about it. For HOTE, it was the first encore song.

I really didn't like the setlist, but at the time and afterwards, I was seeing/saw the Eagles. But after the opportunity to see them again during HOTE, I can say the LROOE experience paled in comparison. I probably wouldn't be complaining if it was the only show I saw as it WAS a good show. But not great, like HOTE was.

For one, there was waaaaaay too many LROOE songs. I just wasn't a fan of that album other than the revamped How Long and Busy Being Fabulous. And they didn't play what is probably my 2nd favorite Eagles song - Already Gone.

Second, the funeral suits just killed the vibe IMO. It was way too formal for a classic rock n' roll band. It wasn't a business meeting. It was rock n' roll. IMO, the Eagles got a little too formal as they went along for my tastes. It got stuffy during LROOE. So imagine my excitement when I see them on HOTE in jeans/tshirts.
