Henry Diltz is doing a talk and presentation of his photos in a limited "tour". A friend of mine went to one of the presentations last week, and another woman in the group videoed the part where he talked about the Eagles.

Let's see if this works:

If not, I'll try to figure something out.

He also had sales of some of his photos (including the one of Glenn which is one of my favorites) and he took the time to chat and sign the photos for the group my friend attended with. (And if I'd know that was happening, my friend would have gotten some money and/or a Christmas list from me!)

I know she got one for herself, that's how I found out a couple of the photos he was selling. I doubt she bought one for me. Maybe... maybe not. We'll see. Not that I have a place to display it anyway.

Henry's prints *start* at $600 so she'd have to be a really great friend! I would love to have one of the Joshua Tree photos in color. My birthday is coming up November 23 - just putting that out there.

I went to one of Henry's presentations in 2016; he's a charmer. Very interesting man.

Those are awesome, CA. Hopefully, Henry cut your friend a deal. But, still, how cool is it to have autographed copies of Henry Diltz's photos. When we were in L.A., we visited his gallery there. Also, we met and chatted with him briefly at one of the shows at The Forum. He was very nice. I sure wish he was doing a show near me - I think it would be really interesting to hear him tell these stories.

BTW - Just in case some of you aren't familiar with it, there is a DVD documentary called 'Under the Covers' that features Henry and Gary Burden. It was made probably in the mid-to-late 90's and they share stories about some of the famous album covers they photographed and designed, which includes the self-titled Eagles album and Desperado. Glenn and Don were both interviewed for the film. It is very entertaining if you haven't seen it. You can probably find it on Amazon or ebay if you're interested.
