I was watching the Richard Jeni interview with Glenn :heart: last night for the umpteenth time, and I wanted to ask if anyone (FP?) had made screenshots from it. Glenn :heart: really turns me to jelly during that interview. I don't what it is about him exactly, since he always makes me weak, but he looks awesome! I love his rapport with Richard, and the way he talks to the fans calling in is just so endearing and charming.

You know, FP, you must be reading my mind. Firstly, thanks so much for this gorgeous screenshot :heart: :smitten:. I watched this interview recently, too. I've been doing a lot of studying of how Glenn :heart: changed within the two years from 1992 to 1994/95. Apart from the obvious difference in his hairstyle (longer in 1994), his voice also deepened somewhat. Although he filled out again for the Richard Jeni interview, he lost quite a bit of weight in those years too. This could probably be attributed to his health issues at the time. When I have time I will post pictures to illustrate to what I'm referring (of course, you all know what I'm talking about - it's just a good excuse to post more hotness :wink: ).

Still intense... :inlove: just a little more subdued, which he generally seemed to be in HFO. The first time he really "performed" was when he played the GOI guitar solo. This is not the case in LID, when he really seemed to bubble over with energy. Perhaps his subdued appearance in HFO was due to nerves. Nevertheless, he managed to be quite breathtaking. :heart:

The only reason I picked these two screencaps is because they are SUPREMELY HOT. :smokin: :smitten: Usually when I see Glenn :heart: up close when he starts to sing "Long Hot Summer" in LID, my thoughts go something like this:

Lord, I ain't never seen beauty like this
It's a hundred and ten in my heart

Also note how much darker Glenn's :heart: hair appears when it's longer.

I suppose there was a whole lot more riding on HFO. Would the lads get on well enough, would the band gel, would the songs sound as good second time round, how would the audience react? What would the future hold if the gig was either a success or a flop (unlikely even then!) And at the end of the day it was Glenn' :heart: s band. So he had to be the leader co-ordinate everything and be in charge. Which he was. Perfectly!!

Dublin, while very significant and the base for his solo video was part of a solo tour. The eyes of the music world were probably NOT as focussed on Glenn :heart: s solo gigs, so possibly he could relax into it more. What I suppose I'm trying to say was that much more was riding on the success of HFO than Dublin.

(And of course we Irish are just such a welcoming audience :wink:

I hear what you're saying, FP. However, he gives me the "in charge" impression in LID too. He just appears much more relaxed in Dublin than HFO. I noticed that when he performed "Take It Easy", he was quite stiff, not even tapping his foot, which is unusual for him. While obviously enjoying the music, he still appeared very nervous throughout. As GA points out, there was a lot riding on the Eagles resumption. He had been resisting it for so many years, and when he finally agreed to do it, he was probably wondering if he had made the right decision.

Another screenshot that features his nervousness (well, to me, anyway) is when Don talks to the audience about the Eagles feeling very fortunate to still have their support after all the years, during the introduction to "New York Minute". We see Glenn :heart:, while looking humbled, appearing to almost tremble for a few seconds.

All I can say is: Sugar, you had no need to be nervous. You were INCREDIBLE, as was the whole band.

My mother got caps on all her teeth when she was in her 50s. I think Glenn's teeth are definitely too perfect to be the real deal, but he used to have a bit of gap. Also, they didn't used to be so super-white.

My mother got caps on all her teeth when she was in her 50s. I think Glenn's teeth are definitely too perfect to be the real deal, but he used to have a bit of gap. Also, they didn't used to be so super-white.

Even though the gap was barely noticeable (or not noticeable at all) in most photos, I think he must have been self-conscious about it. It is quite difficult to find posed photos from the past where he shows his teeth - almost always the lips are closed, even for smiles.

And that concludes my analysis of Glenn's teeth. lol

You're all quite right, from what I can see. I also noticed the change in Glenn's :heart: teeth from the late '90s onwards, and I'm still trying to decide if I prefer it now or before. I didn't find anything wrong with his teeth the way they were before, but it's clear he had a problem with them. It seems to have changed the look of his jaw a little, but hang, he's STILL HS&G. :wink:

I'm sorry the security at the gig gave you such a hard time. I was fortunate enough to get away with using flash on my camera. Security objected once, but by that time I'd almost finished two reels of 36 exposure film. :twisted: I took my chances after that, and the guys didn't seem to mind. With my camera, it's "no flash, no pictures".

I just love all the pictures that keep getting posted from the concerts, but I have a question. Do they ever check for cameras as you enter the venue and take them away? I know some artist are really really strict about the no camera rule. I want to take a camera but I don't want to take my good one because don't want to take that chance. I also don't want to be burdened down with a purse or anything to try to hid it. I thought maybe I would just buy a disposable and hope for the best. Of course I might be wishful thinking that I will be able to get good pictures-I'm not on the floor but in the 1st row in the lower section on Timmy's side--of course all my pictures will probably be well you know who!!! :D :D

I guess it depends on the venue and the performer, TBF. I've had them look in my bag and I've also gone through with no looks. At the John Fogerty concert, they found my camera and told me to take it to the car. I went to the car and hid it better and then they didn't look when I went back! I got quite a few great shots of John, but waited till later in the show to take pics. At another show, hubby put it in his back pocket and went through fine.

It's a toss up, I guess. :?

I had the very same thought tbf. I'd be really ticked off if I took a good camera and then they took it. I think I'm going to ditch the camera idea. I never take very good pictures anyway - even when everything is perfect. :roll:

I was only checked once for a camera years ago. At the Dublin F1 gig there was nearly a side show going on near me as security tried to nail people using cameras. However later on when it got livelier they had more to do! However I didn't want to take any chances and anyway I was a little further away than I was in London!

Does the facial hair he had in "Miami Vice" count as stubble? Or was that a little too long? I also recall he had a little in the "Expedition Earth" special.

I don't know what it is about stubble that I like so much, but I do! However, I don't think the full beard works for him. That works better for Don. I do consider the Miami Vice looks stubble, but perhaps one can call it a beard. Same for Expedition Earth.
