Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
I do think that Don is a malcontent, and by that I mean in the sense that he is a perfectionist & in that always has something to complain about or be critical of.
I don't think he is unhappy but maybe more serious than most. I think some of his complaining was to better the music & not so much to annoy people or stir up trouble, as in the definition, but to perfect & maybe fine tune things.

The things Don complained about were legitimate, and Geffen had an agenda against Don because things ended badly between them. I don't think anyone here knows Don well enough to pass judgement on his personality by calling him a malcontent.
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
After watching the doc and the Huell Howser video, I have to ask; do ya think the Eagles still run to their vehicles after a show? :hilarious:
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
PM - I was sitting on the right side of the stage in the lower level (not floor) at the Vegas show so I could see backstage and when the show was over, the side curtain opened and I saw the black SUVs waiting for them. They didn't run but they sure made a beeline to the vehicles. :hilarious:
I took some photos but they turned out blurry because I was debating on whether to jump the railing and take off after them! :hilarious:
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
LOL I know, I would've done the same thing!! Run after them. LOL
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
I'm assuming that the concert DVD does not include Timothy - it's just the one show, right?
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
That's correct Mary. It's part of a show from 1977 and Randy is still with the band.

OK, one final question I know you all will know the answer to without even having to look it up! In the credits at the end of Part 2, ICTYW is credited as written by "Glenn, Don, Timothy"...has it always been credited in this order? I was very surprised...assumed Timothy would be listed first.

WOW...I am watching the live show that came with the DVD and I am in tears and my entire body has chills! Randy's high note on TITTL and the crowd going nuts and everyone in the band smiling!!
:applause::thud:
Also have noticed how much of a ham Joe is with the camera!! So awesome!

That is strange. On The Long Run, it's credited exactly the opposite: Timothy, Don, then Glenn. It might be a mistake; the documentary also left off Souther's credit on "You Never Cry Like a Lover" and I'm sure that wasn't deliberate.
