omg I heard On The Border again just now...never heard it before on the radio...now twice in a few days WOW!
On the NBC Nightly News this evening as they went to commercial they played the opening riffs of LITFL. They had a story about Dale Earnhardt's 11 year old granddaughter, Karsyn who is racing now. She's Dale Jr's niece. Cute kid with racing in her blood!
I agree with you about the vocals and some of the instrumentals being different PM. But the drum instrumentation is much more blatant than just being 'influenced' by Heartache Tonight to me. I think it is unmistakable if pretty much everyone that hears it is immediately reminded of the song.
And I went out to dinner last night and I heard both Leather and Lace and You Belong To the City in the restaurant - must've been '80's night.
Working late so I ran to Starbucks and got a double treat - a Soy Chai & "Heartache Tonight"! It was just the jolt to wake me up - Glenn's beautiful voice - I love that song!!
During the long, tortuous process of buying the new truck, the dealership had on SiriusXM's The Bridge and I heard the Eagles TWICE. TITTL and BOL.
I heard Lying Eyes the other day on the radio. I had to go back to work to get my bag and before I got of the car Lying Eyes came on. I wanted to listen to it, but had to get my bag. The song was ending by the time I got back to my car.
I also heard Life's Been Good to Me on the radio a few weeks ago. That I know of, that was the first time I ever heard that song on the radio.
Cool to hear On The Border.
I was watching highlights of the Edinburgh Tattoo tonight, and the pipe band were playing Wild Mountain Thyme. I know it's not strictly an Eagles song, but I think you will get it!
Breakfast at The Land's End Hotel with background music and Heartache Tonight comes on. Most of the other guests were there for a wedding so I hope it wasn't a prediction!
