I see on HFO that the song credits were changed on Hotel California & I Can't Tell You Why.
Don Henley/ Glenn Frey / Don Felder on HC
Don Henley/ Glenn Frey / Timothy B Schmit on ICTYW so those were changes made in the production of that album & were deliberate changes, not just some intern copying names off a website.
These changes were made on purpose.
I don't know about the other songs because I don't have the cd's but on HFO they were changed on purpose & I remember that Felder did seem to have an issue with it & mentioned it in an interview if I recall correctly.
Was it me? Did I do something wrong with quote boxes? I hope not, but today was the first day I tried it...
HFO was an aberration. On every subsequent release (Very Best of the Eagles and The Selected Works) Felder and Timothy have been credited first on their respective songs. However, you're right that the HFO changes are not the fault of interns. I can only guess it had something to do with the live arrangement. Regardless, it was 20 years ago, and has never appeared that way since until this debacle.Quote:

TK, as I said (not very clearly) above, I don't know the reason for the change on ICTYW. I did say that I'm sure there was a good and viable reason, but after thinking about it, well, if an intern(s) working on a movie can make such an error, an intern or clerk working on a cd cover can make the same error. It's doubtful, but I guess we can't rule it out.
Soda, like I mentioned before, I have a coworker who was at one of the concerts and he's given me two different versions of the evening. I'm thinking most of the crowd was too high, drunk, or both to have really appreciated it. Hey, they had a good time and that's all that counts!
