I think we're casting aspersions on a lil' old lady who only wanted to help out a friend. She contacted Jim Stingl to help her find the right person at Summerfest to help her out, and it was Summerfest, not her, who decided to contact the Eagles. I honestly don't think her intent in this was to pity-shame the Eagles into upgrading her tickets...Quote:

Agreed!!! She's 74 years old and I think it's wonderful that she did this. How many of our 74 year old parents would know about a lawn seat at a festival? Mine sure wouldn't have.Quote:

The first thought of the little old ladies I know would not be to call a journalist; this one is obviously pretty savvy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, of course, especially if you judge by results - she got them. Hope they enjoy the show. :)
Look what I found, this blog calls the Eagles the second worst band of all time, what the hell. They're not the only ridiculous choice in this list either. Whoever wrote this is clueless.
