Happy Anniversary Julie!
And yes, what a year it's been for you! Many Eagles/Glenn memories to cherish! Hopefully there will be many, many more too! :rockguitar:

Re: Frey Fever: The Glenn Frey Photo Thread
Thanks, GL, but it isn't my Bordervesary, which is in December. It's the anniversary of the day in 1979 when I first saw The Long Run & that was how it all started. :drunk: I have told this story elsewhere. I knew I had to choose my favourite Eagle that day. I had heard Heartache Tonight on the radio as it was the single but I don't think I linked it with NKIT, my previous favourite Eagles vocal. When I looked at the gatefold I could identify four out of five of them. I was baffled. I don't know if I had to look at the credits or if it dawned on me that it had to be who it was, & THEN I looked at the credits & then got an even more pleasant surprise when I read about Heartache Tonight. As I have said while I was walking back to the university (I was in Canberra at the time) I tried to tell myself I was supposed to go with Don Henley. It didn't work.
But as far as what happened earlier this year I still have trouble believing it.
Sorry to go over all that again.

My mistake. I amended my post. I love hearing your stories over & over again!

Thanks Soda.
I will just indulge myself here with one of the photos I took in 1988, because the lighting makes him look like he is supporting the ROOSTERS tomorrow.Or that's my story & I'm sticking to it. :soda:(red, white & blue smiley).

Actually this one, with Australian DJ Richard Wilkins, the shirt looks red, white & blue. OK, I'm done now..

Happy anniversary, Julie! Wow, I don't know (m)any people who know the exact date of when they picked their favorite band member of any band. I remember you posting the story before, but I'm always amazed by it.

I hadn't heard this story yet! so i'm glad you did tell it again :) I was wondering what anniversary it was you were celebrating.
it's pretty amazing to be able to pinpoint exactly when the magic started with your favorite band! I could try to ballpark guess, but I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday haha

The only reason I know the date was because I wrote it in my diary at the time. I thought it was significant.
