Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
I don't think anyone here is a "Glenn Hater" That is a really harsh statement. We all love the band, & maybe we have a favorite in the band, but that certainly doesn't mean we "hate" other band members. I know that holds true for me
I think the reason that Glenn has gotten the most comments & discussion here is because he is the one that did most of the talking on the DVD, where he discussed other band members; the reasons for the departures, the replacements for the departing members, etc...
I think Henley talked mostly about himself, not others in the band. As for the other band members, the interviews were relatively brief & they also mostly talked about their own experiences as an Eagle... but Glenn was the one that discussed the band dynamics & that said, caused some controversy with the fans....Maybe some of the comments were a bit too blunt & maybe some were said without any malice intent, but could have different interpretations, depending on who is hearing it....So that is how a lot of this was focused on Glenn.....
I don't see any "them against us" in here. I just think we all get a little emotional while defending our favorite Eagle.....My defending Timothy does not mean I don't like Glenn...I just didn't particularly like what he said about him....Seems some people thought that was a compliment?? As for me, I didn't think so....Am I entitled to an opinion? I won't go any further with that. I'm just saying that Glenn caused the most controversy, but as the spokesperson, maybe that was the intent?? I don't know. I mean we all know everything in the band wasn't roses & butterflies, so somebody had to say it......

I do think the term 'Glenn-haters' is a little strong, but really, the term 'Glenn-dislikers' is...dorky.

Speaking of interviews the DVD could have added as extras the extended interviews. Imagine ho much was said that was cut out. I imagine the interviews had to run at least 2 hours each member. In the end Randy got what? 2 minutes screen time? Felder? 4 minutes? Bernie? 1?
I would have liked to know what else they said in the other hour an 55 minutes of interview.

I'm sure the interviews were longer & things were cut, but I wouldn't bet that it was a 2 hour interview.

I sometimes wonder what the Eagles would think of all of us going to town like this... They'd probably be like "You people need to chill!!" lol
I'm sure someone from the Eagles is looking at The Border daily. If not the four guys themselves or their family members, their management/security would be remiss to not monitor. I'm sure all four of them have had legitimate (the dangerous kind) stalkers. But, I'll bet that late at night, when everything is quiet and the guys are in their offices, they take a peek at their respective "hotness" threads from time to time!!! :D

Good grief, I hope not. Glenn doesn't need to know about my obsession with his neck. Along with a few other things.
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
He's probably super aware of his neck now. :D

I remember reading that Don Felder said that they interviewed him for at least two hours, if not three, so I'm sure they talked to Glenn and Don at length.

So when was Randys Last concert with the Eagles? In the Concert disc which is in 1977 he seems to sing TITTL happily....it wasn't much later that he left right?
