I went back several pages and don't see this. It's from last week, before the Cleveland concert.

I love this article! Thank you VA!
Clearly written before the tour started, we can safely say the the last two paragraphs are not correct. No Henley solos, and the songs have been arranged to sound different from the original recordings.
"Porn-stached Frey".:hilarious:
It is something that I don't think about much but when you see it in writing about SOOOOOO many hits coming from only 7 albums. Amazing!!
Hotel California vs Reelin' in the Years compete in best guitar solos of all time by Guitar World...Please vote for our guys!

Voted! We're blowing them out of the water!
Wow, who thought of this pairing? There is NO CONTEST.
LOL Hotel California all the way!!! Even though I love Reelin' In the Years, Hotel California is way better!!!
I voted too. The pairings are based similarly to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament - the weakest teams are paired against the strongest teams, which, of course, gives an advantage to advance to the stronger team (or in this case song). But, just like in the real world, I see there have been some upsets. I'm definitely going to follow this to see how far Hotel California gets. Of course, I would love to see it win, but will be happy if it makes it to the Final Four. Probably will only make it to the Elite Eight though because it is in the same bracket as Stairway to Heaven.
what an easy choice!
I mean I do dig Steely Dan too, but you can't really compare those guitar solos!
Hotel California will blow away any guitar solo any time!
