I think that's just a reference to the chainsaw he carried with him on tour.

I figured he was just wearing it for a hoot - the chainsaw reference didn't occur to me. Now it seems obvious! :doh:

For me Joe knows he ain't male model material(like myself)and he's having a laugh.That's what makes him so cool.
