Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I HAD AN EAGLES DREAM!! well.. kind of.. I mean it's about them but they weren't really IN it..
Okay, so WE (all of us, the Borderers) being an official Eagles fan club (funny tho, we had a troop number like a Girl Scout troop) were having a Meet and Greet with ALL the guys. It was at a big house and we were lead into a large living room area where cushions had been thrown on the floor for us to sit on. There were four big cushions in the front for them and sofas and chairs in the back and a chair to the left of the cushions. I sat there. I was holding a kitten (I have no idea why) and then I realized I should be sitting on the OTHER side because that's where Joe would be but it was too late. The lights went out and the Guys were coming in and I woke up :(

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Okay - I was reading Soda's, Brooke's, and ticky's dreams and thought they need to be analyzed. So let's see ...
1) Glenn and Tim playing games ???
2) Don wearing Glenn's strawberry pink shirt ???
3) Ticky sitting on Joe's floor cushion ???
4) The lights going out before the guys enter the room for a Border M&G party ??? (Priceless)
Hmmmm - I give up ... I'm clueless!!! Maybe someone else can sort out this life of illusion!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had an eagles dream a few nights ago. All seven of the Eagles (and Irving) were at Glenn's house and they were doing a video chat with the fans. I can't remember anything that was said but the guys were asking most of the questions and the fans were answering. Stevie Nicks was there too for some reason. I don't think she was participating in the chat she was just kinda hanging out in the background. This dream just kinda faded into another, more detailed, and totally unrelated Eagles dream that I'll post later.

Found the pic of Glenn in the pink jacket.

Add a touch more pink and a button up pink shirt and put it on Don!
Ain't ever gonna happen! :hilarious: But he looked good in the dream!

 What would they ask us? "What would you say to your kids if they said they wanted to become a fan?" :hilarious:

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Good grief! There must be something with the way the planets are aligned, coz I had a dream two nights ago, as well. I seldom dream must less dream about Eagles!
You are all having such sweet innocent dreams. I believe I will keep the details of my dream to myself!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Okay so heres the second dream I had that night. I'm not in this dream and it's set sometime in the mid-seventies whenever Don and Glenn were living together. Oh and none of the guys had shirts on. Anyway onto the dream. For some reason Glenn is hiding Don's shoes from him after he goes to bed. This goes on for about a week. Don then decides that he wants to get back at Glenn so he calls Randy. Randy comes up with a plan and he recruits Bernie and Nick St. Nicholas.(For anyone who doesn't know, Nick St. Nicholas is one of the guys in the World Classic Rockers with Randy. That's really the only reason I can think of that he would be in this dream.) Anyway they go to Don and Glenn's house at night and Randy goes in through Don's window and gets under Don's bed to wait for Glenn. Bernie's outside the window just hanging out(he doesn't really have a big role in the dream he was just there). So Don pretends to go to sleep and Glenn comes in to take his shoes. Randy grabs Glenn's ankles and he jumps. Don laughs and then jumps out the window. Glenn chases him around the front of the house and Randy and Bernie go to Randy's truck. Don gets back inside first and locks Glenn out. Then Nick St. Nicholas jumped out of some bushes and sprayed Glenn with a water gun. He then jumped into the bed of Randy's truck and that's where the dream ended.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I think this is my first Eagles dream featuring Timothy. Here goes...
My friend Christi and I were in some kind of store that seemed similar to Walmart. We were just walking around and we started hearing people talking about a concert somewhere in the store and that the artist would be arriving soon. We were all really curious and then a store employee came up and told us that it would be Timothy. Christi and I rushed to where the concert would be held and we immediately reserved our spots right up front. The odd thing is that there was no stage. It was just a mic stand and a few speakers behind it with about 2 dozen chairs set up in a big open space in the back of the store. I remember being so excited and nervous (but a good nervous) about being so close. I mean, our seats were so close that we could reach out and touch the mic stand. A few more people came in and once all of the seats were filled up Timothy came out. Everybody stood up and clapped as he walked out and waved at all of us. I was shocked to see that he was walking up to everybody to shake their hand and thank them for coming. I was expecting him to just play a few songs and then leave. I remember leaning over to Christi and telling her "I'm so nervous I don't know what to say. I should've brought my camera. Oh no!!! I forgot my Long Run album for him to sign." Christi said "Just be cool. Watch me and do what I do and you'll be just fine." I took a deep breath and said "Okay, I think I can do this." Timothy worked his way down the line and finally got to Christi and I was so nervous that I couldn't hear what she was saying to him but I could see her smiling big as she was talking to him and when I could finally hear I heard Timothy say "That's so sweet of you. Thank you. I'm so glad you could be here." My jaw dropped. What the heck did she say to him? What am i going to say to him now? What do I do? I kept telling myself "Be cool, Jessica. Just be cool." When Timothy came up to me and said "Hello" I had things in my head that I wanted to say like "I'm such a huge fan" "I love your work" "Expando is such a brilliant album" but all I could say was "Hi, my name is Jessica." Timothy thanked me for coming and I think he could tell that I was nervous and was about to move on but at the last second I asked him if I could have a hug. He smiled all cute and said "Of course you can." If there was such a thing as a really great hug then I would say that that hug from Timothy was a really great hug . I wish I could remember the small but intimate concert but I must've woken up after that because I don't remember what happened next.
I got a double dose of Timothy in my dreams last night because I had another dream about him only this time me and Christi had actual tickets to Timothy's concert and it was at an outdoor venue. We had second row seats and we were supposed to be meeting up with Nancy and Willie. I believe our seats were right next to them. I was really excited about this concert but it seemed like so many obstacles were trying to keep me away from being there. First, me and Christi got lost trying to find the venue then when we finally found it we couldn't find a place to park. When we finally found a spot we had to park what seemed like a mile away. There was some kind of festival going on outside the venue and as we were trying to push our way through the crowd of people we got separated. I looked all around me for Christi but I could barely see a thing through the sea of people. We were already running late and Christi had the tickets. I searched and searched for her and I was really starting to get frustrated. I could hear the concert going. The concert was already half over by the time I found Christi and that's right when I woke up.
Note to self: Map out all directions for the road trip and I will be the one to hold on to the tickets for the upcoming concerts.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Wow, two Tim dreams in one night! The first one is great but how frustrating for the second one. Oh well, I'm sure Willie and I gave you a great play-by-play of what you missed. ;)
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Not fair to have two dreams Jess when I can't even have one!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Well, I have one, but it was very surreal.
Soda was the curator of a multimedia exhibition devoted to Don's media appearances such as his Congress testimony, Walden, radio interviews. (I knew Soda organised it because the photo of her with Glenn was displayed as a big poster). You could wander around and access the material by pressing buttons. I was wandering through wondering if Soda would magically appear so that I would meet her. I thought at one stage Don himself was somewhere to be seen, but as always, nothing happened and everything was out of reach.
And I suspect it was Don and not Glenn because there was more to work with on a wider variety of subjects.

Jess-sorry you missed Timothy! It was great! Nancy & I really enjoyed it! :hilarious:

I would have to insist any such poster would be greatly airbrushed. ;)
I would love to meet you too one day, FP! And hey, you never know.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
This is a dream I had a week or so ago but I can't remember it as well as the others. Some parts are vivid, some are vague.
Glenn shows up to where I used to live as an undergrad at Texas A&M University - a little white house I rented with five other girls. (I must be 20 or 21 in the dream because I walk down the stairs to let him in when I hear him knocking, and I didn't have an upstairs bedroom until my junior year.) He walks in the door and I'm just astonished. I don't recognize him, but I get excited when I see him, so I know it must be cool that he's there. There's a little blond boy with him but he looks nothing like him and obviously isn't his kid. The two of them sit down on the couch. The couch is old and beat up, and squeaks when he sits on it.
Glenn starts talking to me about how he travels overseas and how much fun it is. Some of my housemates come in the room and listen to him as well. He's very animated and seems to love talking to us. "Do you know this guy?" one of them - her name is Pippin - whispers to me. "I think so," I whisper back. "He looks familiar. I think he's famous. I don't know about this little kid though. Never seen him before."
Glenn then abruptly says to me "Let's go furniture shopping!"
Suddenly we're in one of those big furniture warehouses looking around (specifically, we are at Mattress Mack's Gallery Furniture store in Houston). At this point I know that the famous guy with me is Glenn Frey, but still have no idea who the kid is. I wonder if it's his nephew or something, but I think it would be impolite to ask.
The store is crowded, but no one recognizes Glenn or pays any attention to us. We walk a bit, and I see a living room set with this really comfortable-looking brown couch on display. "That's so nice! I want it!" I turn to Glenn and exclaim.
"Oh, did you think I was going to buy you something?" Glenn says. He looks dismayed. "I'm sorry. I just wanted you to come along to give me advice."
I am mortified and dejected, because for some reason I really did think he was going to buy me a new couch for my house at college! He obviously feels bad about it and repeats, "I'm really sorry. I never meant to give you that impression."
"Of course I never thought that," I lie. "Why would I think such a silly thing? You gave me no reason to think that. We don't even really want a new couch. We think our old couch is great." I feel so stupid for thinking he was going to buy me and my housemates a new couch and I can't figure out why I thought that. I can feel myself flushing with embarrassment. I try to cover. "I was just thinking you might like it."
He seems to buy my explanation, to my vast relief. "You're right, I do like it!" He and the kid go over and sit on it. He starts to bounce on it. "I think I'm gonna buy it for myself!"
"This is so bogus," I think, but I manage to mutter "Great."
Then the dream ends - bizarre to the last drop, as usual.

I am always amazed at the level of detail you all can recall from your dreams. Mine are always so vague and distorted. I'm lucky that I remember the general subject matter in the morning.
I envy you, Nancy!

It's not fun when you have nightmares and wake up believing they're real for a few seconds because they're so vivid.
But when it's the Eagles I don't mind. Or if it's other fun things... ;)

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had a dream a few nights ago, I was dating Don Henley. I usually don't dream about him. Anyway I had a friend in the dream that told us she had an Eagle living in her backyard that just laid an egg. Well I was being smart and said Don's an Eagle, I wonder if he can lay an egg. Then Don said, how smart of you Nathalie! Then we all had a giggle, my friend gave Don a hug and said she was leaving. I said I was going with her so I gave Don a hug and a kiss, told him that I loved him. He said he loved me too. Then after that I woke up. And I do believe that is the most ignorant thing, I've dreamed in awhile.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had a dream that started out bad, I was held captive in someone's home, I managed to escape and started walking down the street while my captors were asleep and Don pulled up beside me And asked me if I needed a ride, I of course Said yes

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had a weird little dream last night, in which I was already in America, waiting to go into the concert arena for an Eagles show. I was sitting in an area, which was like an airport departure lounge, surrounded by loads of people I didn’t know. I was so nervous because I was going to be sitting front row. (Not true to life at all. Ahem.) There was a TV playing various songs and music videos – mainly Eagles and Fleetwood Mac – apparently to get us all in the mood for the show. This lady came and sat next to me and said “Lou?” It was Eva (eaglesvet)! I recognised her from a picture she’d posted on the board. I was so glad to see a friendly face, and we ended up having a long conversation, whilst occasionally watching the TV screen. She was really sweet in trying to calm me down about the show. Then, Fleetwood Mac’s Rhiannon started playing... and I cried. I have no idea why, except that it apparently really moved me. I kind of hid my face into the wall and Eva asked what was wrong. I said “I’m just so embarrassed! You’ve seen me cry three times now at songs – once over this, once over Waiting In The Weeds and once over Desperado! I’m sooo sorry!” She laughed and gave me a hug and said it didn’t matter. But that maybe I should dry the tears before I went in and saw Don. I responded that she was really cool and calm and that I was still SO mortified. She took my hand and led me over to the bar to buy me a beer. I woke up before I got to to front row!
(I have no idea what that was all about. And I sincerely hope it’s not a premonition! Not least of all because Jess wasn’t anywhere to be seen!)
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Maybe Jess was getting you guys some backstage passes! ;)
The Eagles AND Fleetwood Mac? Sounds like my kind of warm-up! Was it an old 70s version of Rhiannon?

-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Yeah, from what I can remember, it was just a small TV showing lots of '70s clips. (Waiting In The Weeds and Desperado weren't shown, so I don't know when or where Eva had seen me crying over them before! I meant to write that above.)
That was gorgeous, by the way. I am so envious of Stevie's hair. Amongst other things! ;)

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I dreamt last night that Dreamer, PLS, Molly and I were walking down the sidewalk and were passing a really nice hotel with glass doors. Suddenly we see someone waving at us through the doors - it's Glenn, wearing an untucked pink polo shirt and jeans. He comes out and he has Taylor with him. We decide we'll all walk to the mall together. Taylor and I get ahead of everybody and we have to keep stopping and waiting for Glenn, Dreamer, PLS, and Molly to catch up, lol.
So, we all walk into the mall and I hear "You Never Cry Like a Lover" playing. "Oh, I don't like that Fleetwood Mac song" I say, and then suddenly realize my multi-level mistake. I start trying to make a recovery. "Um... I meant the Eagles...and I actually don't think the song is bad at all..." I hear Taylor say, "Uh-oh, Dad hates it when people compare the Eagles to Fleetwood Mac" and Glenn looks pissed off. I keep trying to recover - "Of course I knew it was the Eagles - I wasn't comparing - it was just a slip of the tongue - besides, I really like Fleetwood Mac so I associate you two because you're both so great - and I really don't hate the song, I mean it's not like it's as bad as 'Disco Strangler', that song really sucks...." I know I'm digging myself deeper but I can't seem to shut up. Glenn is looking more and more pissed off and Dreamer, PLS, and Molly look like they want to take turns pounding me into the ground.
Finally I just start repeating "Shoot, shoot...I'm sorry...shoot, shoot..." That's when I mercifully woke up.
It felt so realistic that as I woke up, I was still trying to think of a way to talk myself out of the hole I'd tripped into thanks to my big mouth!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
LOL! Awww, sounds like a bit of a nightmare to me. This bit cracked me up though:

Aww Lou, already getting 1st row jitters. Have that beer and calm down!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I do believe that a discussion that was going on in Facebook last night may have led to this dream for me last night. It wasn't much but never the less, when I awoke, my first thought was I needed to put it on here. :hilarious:
I was at a Houston hospital for a minor surgery. I was sitting in the waiting room filling out paperwork and Larry was at the desk talking to someone. I looked up and saw Glenn come thru the door but I quickly turned away because I wasn't suppose to look at him (hmmmm?). I heard people talking behind me how they had heard that Glenn Frey and Don Henley were at the hospital and were going to the pediatrics ward to entertain the kids. I thought that was really interesting and was trying to figure out how I was going to sneak up there and check it out.
When I looked up again, I saw Larry coming thru some big doors with Don and they were talking with each other. They walked up to me and I stood up and stuck my hand out to Don and started to introduce myself. He gave me a hug instead and said he already knew who I was and was anxious to meet me after Larry had told him what a huge Eagles fan I was. We talked for quite awhile (don't remember any of that part) and then he said he had to go. He shook Larry's hand and told him how nice it was to meet us both and then gave me a peck on the cheek and said he'd be sure and tell all the other guys that he had met one of their biggest fans. Then he turned and walked away. I looked at Larry, who was smiling from ear to ear at me, and then they called my name to go back.
That was it! Like I said, not much of a dream. Curious that it was about Glenn and Don and no Timothy anywhere in sight! :-( And why Houston?
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
 Maybe they had Kermit in tow somewhere and they were going to do Bein' Green!
I would go to the hospital to meet Don and Glenn! :partytime:
