Tim played bass on 1974's Heart Like a Wheel, an album which Don, Glenn, Randy, and Bernie also appeared on. Perhaps that's what you're thinking of. Pretty cool!

Well said.

Just catching up on this thread. So much activity! Very true about putting anyone on a pedestal. I must say though, that I wonder if Roberto would have ever done anything to truly embarrass himself like some of today's athletes (I'm talking to you, A-Rod). Roberto was one of life's extraordinary people. Just thinking of how he died always makes me incredibly sad. A true humanitarian and gentleman.

Troub and AEW21-
Thank you both for such eloquent and well thought out posts. You said so well what I have been thinking while reading through this thread.

She got a few things wrong, but still a good review.

Very nice interview.
I wanted to talk about Don Henley saying that he is not satisfied with his vocals on the original recording of Desperado, that he felt rushed when completing it (the song), and that he wished he could redo it. Was that in the documentary, or did I read an interview somewhere here? I can't remember. Anyway, Desperado came on the radio today and I immediately thought of what Don had said and I wanted to discuss it, but I want to discuss it it the right thread.

I just watched Part 1 again last night and I don't remember him saying that.
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
He's said it in more than one interview in the past, but no, I don't remember it from the documentary either.
