"Don Henley Music Videos" Survivor Game

Well as I was tallying the votes for the last round I realized that these two videos have the same number of previous votes, so if they got the same number of votes in this round, then for the first time in Border history, a Survivor game would end in a tie. Now, normally I don't like ties, I just personally prefer an outright winner. But, when I have to resort to deciding my favorite based on which video Don looks hotter in, or others have to toss coins to decide, then they both deserve to win and I would be fine with a tie. Well just to break the mould slightly. Its always been one of may favourite Don songs, so I vote for

Angling for a tie is a dangerous thing. I say, only vote for Boys of Summer if you truly believe its video deserves to win. Otherwise, you may find that in your efforts to create a tie, you've sunk your true favorite. Remember that others are voting who care little for the balance you're trying so hard to create, and are almost certain to upset it. JMHO, of course.

You're the second person who's expressed a preference for the song... and that's perfectly fine... but we ARE voting on the video here and not the song so I hope folks take that into consideration!

As far as the song itself goes, I actually prefer Boys of Summer over End of the Innocence. BOS is one of my favorite Don solo songs and I think it totally rocks out live but that doesn't mean that I don't like EOTI. I think it's a beautiful song. The lyrics are great and Don's voice is simply beautiful when he sings it. I had to watch both videos several times to come to a decision. IMO, EOTI seems to convey more of what the song is about than BOS does. I did take the hotness of Don into consideration as well. I am a fan of the long hair on Don. I prefer it over the 80's type of hair in the BOS vid but my Don hair preference was not my decision maker. For me, it came down to which video tells the story of the song better and I feel like it is EOTI. I vote for End Of The Innocence for the win.

It looks like EOTI will win, I won't be too disappointed if it does, but it's certainly not the best of Don's videos. JMHO.

Wow - it couldn't get much closer, but barring a last minute surprise vote, it looks like there won't be a tie in this game. So, I guess I'll have to go with my gut. I thought about it long and hard because I really do think these two videos are virtually tied. I personally think both of them do an incredible job of enhancing the message of their song. I also think that it is fair to use how well you like the song as a criteria when voting for the video. But, in this case, the only thing I could use to make my decision is how hot I think Don is in The Boys of Summer video, therefore ...
