I refused to watch The Tudors because Henry VIII never looked remotely like that, not even when he was young. I understand they wanted to get away from the Charles Laughton stereotype but I could not look at it.

Last night, I had a dream that Timothy got a haircut. He chopped all of it right off! Please Timmy, don't EVER cut your hair short! I like your long hair too much :hilarious:
Oh my gosh EF, that's not a dream - that's a nightmare!!! :fear:
Before she completely freaks out...
WILLIE - BREATHE! IT'S ALRIGHT! IT WAS JUST A DREAM.
http://bestsmileys.com/crying/15.gif Stop it!!! I can't take the thought----dream or not!!! http://bestsmileys.com/crying/2.gif
PLS, Dreamer, and I are waiting in the Denver airport (free wifi!) and I thought I would take the opportunity to write about the dream I had a couple nights ago with Glenn in it.
In my dream, my cousin Robin (who lives in Universal City) tells me that Glenn Frey is hiring people to do inventories of his various castle properties (yes, castle lol). She says she can take me to the warehouse (!) where people are being interviewed for the job. She takes me there and I see Linda Ronstadt standing around among all the people. Linda leads me to a table with an old-fashioned typewriter and tells me I can get to work right away. I look around for Glenn but he is nowhere to be seen.
I find that the work is pretty dull. Apparently Glenn's castle in Britain has many livestock which graze on its surrounding grounds that need to be tallied... snooze! As I am typing all this information up, I see Glenn walk through the room. I think "OK, now he'll come say hi!" But he simply passes by saying "Good work ladies!" to all of us in the warehouse tallying up his inventories.
I am bummed but Linda suggests we go hang out at her place after work. Suddenly we are in a small apartment which is apparently Linda's place (as if). There is a knock on the door. Linda opens it and a postman delivers an envelope. It's an invitation to a murder mystery party thrown by Glenn Frey and there will be teams. "Ooh, I hope I get to be on Glenn's team!" I cry, thrilled to be going.
We are suddenly at the party and there are tons of people there. Glenn is schmoozing with them. "When are they going to divide us into teams?" I ask excitedly. Again, I'm hoping we can get on Glenn's team, and how cool that would be.
As we wait for teams to be announced, this guy comes up to us with small bags and hands each of us one. "These are from Glenn," he says.
"Ooh!" I am so excited to be getting another gift from Glenn. I look in my bag. There are various hair products. "Dang it, I KNEW I should have gotten my hair cut!" I cry.
Then I wake up. I got a haircut a few hours later! lol
Can I visit his British castle next week?!!:)
:hilarious: Another one that, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say, I just can't figure out what it all means. Castles and hair products. :headscratch: :hilarious:
What's funny about Soda's dreams are the things she says. I love the "oohs" and "dang its'. :hilarious:
Soda, you have more dreams than anyone I've ever heard of! And so many with Eagles (and especially Glenn) in them! And they are so vivid! How do you do it?!
I have multiple dreams every night - all I gotta do is go to sleep! ;) Odds are that the Eagles will make a few of 'em, and sure enough, they do! lol I've always had very vivid dreams which can be good or which can be bad, depending on whether it's a dream or a nightmare.
I FINALLY had an Eagley dream and it was a REALLY GOOD ONE!!
I was at an Eagles concert with my good friends Christi and Eric and at first it seemed like our seats were in about the 10th-15th row on Timothy's side but as the concert started we were in the second row. Huh :headscratch:! When I would look toward the stage it seemed like I was in a huge arena filled with thousands of people but when I would turn around to look behind me it was like I was in a half filled theater. That was a really strange feeling and it made me a bit sad that there weren't as many people there as I had seen at past Eagles concerts but when the house lights went down I forgot all about that. The guys came out on stage and started into 7BR but about 30 seconds in there was a mechanical problem and they had to completely stop the song. Glenn apologized for the inconvenience and said that they would get it taken care of as soon as possible. For a while the guys were just standing on the stage and talking to each other then after a few minutes Glenn and Don started to walk off to the dressing rooms while the problem was getting fixed. Many people had gone to the concession and restrooms and some people completely left the concert so it didn't seem like there was a whole lot of people in the arena/theater. Tim started to walk to our side of the stage (i'm guessing to head to his dressing room) and he saw the group of us that was still there and smiled at all of us. He seemed to genuinely appreciate that we had stayed. He came down from the stage and walked toward us with open arms and said to me, Christi, and Eric how happy he was to see us again. I'm sure I had a confused look on my face because I was thinking "How the heck does he remember us?" Tim noticed my confusion and said that he remembered seeing us at the Wichita and San Jose concerts. (This is really weird because in reality Christi and Eric only went to the Wichita concert with me). I would never really be able to ask this in person because I would be waaaaaay too nervous but I asked Tim if I could get a hug. He smiled and said "Of course". As we hugged he told me that he would spread the word that we were there. I was really surprised by that but I just smiled and said okay. I wasn't expecting anything else because meeting Timothy like that was such an amazing moment. Besides the concert starting again how could it get any better than that? Tim pulled a handful of picks out of his pocket and handed them to us before he headed backstage.
I sat down in my seat stunned by what just happened and then I turned to Christi and asked her "Did that really just happen?" She smiled big and said "Oh Yeah!" Timothy wasn't kidding when he said that he would spread the word because not even 5 minutes later Glenn came out to give us some guitar picks. He didn't stay very long but he told us he was really glad to see us again and gave me and Christi a hug and a hand shake to Eric. Glenn looked fantastic and even though he was wearing that black and white plaid shirt again he looked so great up close. The concert started again shortly after Glenn left and the first half of the show seemed too pass by too quickly but it was amazing as always.
This concert was already more than I could have ever imagined and it was about to get even more memorable. Shortly after the guys left the stage for intermission Joe was walking toward us. He was wiping his face with a white towel and even after doing that he still seemed to be a little sweaty. He came over with that fabulous goofy grin of his and said "I heard you guys were here! Thanks so much for coming again. I wanted to stop by as soon as Tim told me but I was too late and we had to start the show." We all chatted with Joe during the intermission and I told him about seeing him in the hotel in San Jose and he said next time we need to be sure and say Hello. Joe seemed so laid back and kind. We had lots of good laughs and it seemed only too soon that he had to leave us and go backstage to get ready for the second half of the show.
During the rest of the concert Don looked our way a few times and smiled and waved at us but he didn't get to come over like the other guys did. I was completely floored by everything that had happened. And I thought getting some eye contact from the guys during the concerts was great. Getting to meet Tim, Glenn, and Joe like that was beyond amazing. I don't remember much from the actual concerts but I just know that it was as good as ever. This dream has to go down as one of the best dreams i've ever had.
That's a nice and happy dream about meeting all of the Eagles. Don Henley is so cool in his paragraph!
Too bad Don wasn't able to come over and meet you too. It must have been a very realistic dream to have that kind of impact on you. :jealous:
(Isn't it pathetic that I'm jealous about a dream?)
WOW! What a cool dream!
Great dream Jess!! Timothy must of been haunting sleeping Borderers last night.
I had a dream last night that a few of us (I remember Cathy, Nancy & Lou, but I know there were a couple of others) were at a small venue with tables instead of regular seating. We were all sitting at a table at the very front before a Timothy solo concert. Out from a side door walked in Hank Linderman who came over to our table and started talking to us. I pulled out the picture of Timothy which is a publicity shot from the 80's from the Playin' Cool days and asked him if he could get it signed for me. He took it, laughed and said something about Timothy's hair. Then he said "I'll do even better than that" and left.
We were all wondering & talking about what the heck that was all about and what he had meant. Then he came out again and Timothy was right behind him. They both came over, pulled up chairs and sat down and started asking our names and where we were from, etc. Timothy asked which one of us had that silly picture and everyone pointed at me. He started laughing and pulled out a newer picture for all of us and signed them all and started handing them out to all of us. We all gushed for awhile and then he & Hank started to get up saying they had to get backstage to get ready. As they were leaving, Timothy turned back around and asked if there was a special song we would like him to do. Everyone looked at me (thanks guys!) and I asked he was already doing Secular Praise and he nodded and said to pick another one. I told him I wanted to hear Every Song Is You and he said he would do it just for us.
What a guy!!! Might need to put that song on today and hear it.
Wow Willie, that would be a dream come true - to hear him do Every Song Is You live!
*when I woke up this morning there was a signed picture of TBS under my pillow! JK!* :nahnah:
These are some great dreams - folks getting the Eagle love! ;) And Willie - terrific song choice!
TBF, this I call a very nice dream!
I had several crazy Eagle dreams of late - the last weekend was especially inspiring apparently - but for the sake of time, I'll put the simplest here for now. I had this one last night:
I am running a hostel and Timothy comes in and wants to say there. I'm thrilled but also embarrassed because the place is kind of shabby (hey, it's a hostel). I tell him he can have his own room instead of having to share one and hustle him into the back before anyone can see him so there's no trouble.
To my dismay, a girl sees him go into the room and as soon as I turn around, there is a throng of women wanting to get in.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Schmit does not want to be disturbed," I say authoritatively.
The girls are all insisting they won't bother him and they just want to sleep on the other empty beds in the room. "Well, I guess I can ask him if he'd be OK with it...." I say.
At that point he opens the door and he has no shirt on and a towel over his shoulder. His hair is damp (don't ask me how he got wet in my hostel room). The girls squeal with delight and rush the door. Timothy looks scared and jumps back.
Shoot, he'll never stay in my hostel again, I think unhappily and holler at the girls "Be quiet and stop pushing! I said I would ask Mr. Schmit but there are only THREE other beds in here and only three of you could stay anyway. So decide that." They start arguing amongst themselves and I run in the room and close the door.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Schmit.... but.... there are three other beds in here and some of the girls want to stay in here. They say they won't bother you, but hey, you don't have to let anyone else in. It would be completely understandable."
Tim says "No, I don't want to be selfish. You can let three other people in here."
I gulp, hope everything works out OK, and open the door. Only three girls are left. I let them in and go back towards my office.
At that point, Don Felder walks in the door and shows me a contract that says he gets to stay in the room with Tim, too. I take it and see that it's just a print out from the computer that he obviously typed up himself, but I don't want to call him out on that and embarrass him. Instead, I say, "Well, I just filled up the room. I'm sorry. You can stay in another room." He gets huffy but agrees.
The next thing I know I'm at a party and talking to people saying "Two Eagles stayed at my hostel and now they're married to my sisters. Isn't that cool?"
Then I woke up. Bizarre, bizarre.
Nancy - frickin' hilarious!! Especially the bit about Felder printing off his own 'contract' and you not wanting to call him out on it... LMAO.
Oh, and sure, Tim - you "don't want to be selfish"... How noble! ;)
Ok, where's the emoticon for laughing so hard you're crying?!?!? That is hysterical. Just the thought of Timothy showing up at a hostel cracked me up!
And is it wrong that I felt a little jealous as soon as the door to Timothy's room closed behind those 3 girls? :unimpressed:
OMG - Eagles in a hostel. Girl, what WILL you dream of next???
So funny Soda. Seriously, how do you have so many vivid Eagles dreams?! lol
Who knows? Maybe I just think about 'em too much! I had another dream this past weekend after ACL where Don stars in a Civil War movie. Ill get that one typed out later!
Looking forward to it! :hilarious:
Can I be in your dreams.............Please?? :hilarious: :hilarious:
Don in a Civil War movie? I can't WAIT for that!
I had a dream last night. I was in a small auditorium (I'm sure it resembled the West End theatre that I saw Dirty Dancing in, a few weeks ago) and I was there to see an Eagles concert. Me, my friend, Lucy, and my sister, Victoria, were sitting on three dining chairs that were positioned in the far left aisle, facing in towards the rest of the audience. Don’t ask me why. Behind us was a large doorway, which presumably led to the backstage area. Don was the only member of the Eagles I saw – he was wandering through the audience, pre-show, and he kept coming in and out of the doorway behind us. He sang one song, just him and a hand mic – I’m pretty sure it was It Don’t Matter To The Sun. He was in a black suit and it seemed like quite a posh event... he seemed to know some people in the middle row because he kept talking to them. Unfortunately, I didn’t see him crack a smile once – he was in a foul mood and didn’t have time for anyone but his ‘special guests.’ Because I’d noticed this, I was so conscious of being on my best behaviour, and I didn’t want to do anything that might p*ss him off. That didn’t go to plan though. I was so nervous that I moved my foot and knocked over the bottle of Coke that I had by my seat. At first I thought I’d gotten away with it and maybe it was almost empty, but then I felt all this liquid over my feet, looked down and stared in horror as I saw a giant puddle of Coca Cola seeping fast towards the rest of the audience – consisting of a lot of old ladies in pretty, pale shoes. At this point, Don was finishing up his song, and he seemed to be standing on a chair because he was a lot higher than everyone else. He was about five feet in front of me and he was looking over in our direction. I couldn’t say anything because I was panicking about the Coke, but my friend Lucy shakily stood up and said to Don: “Um... excuse me... hello... But do you happen to know where there’s a mop around here?” Don just looked back at her, then looked away, finished his song and walked towards the backstage doors. Honestly – if looks could kill, we’d have been long dead. I was mortified!
We spent the next little while looking for a mop and we mopped up the Coke during the interval period (or the time between Don finishing his pre-show song and the start of the actual concert.) The rest of the audience was pretty snooty and we just did our best to keep face, when all I really wanted to do was run away! Anyway, I suddenly saw Don – who completely ignored me when I tried to call after him to make amends – jump into a seat in the middle of the audience, with his friends. The lights were dimming and I was confused. Aren’t the Eagles meant to be performing in a minute? I noticed that everyone had shifted seats after making bathroom trips etc, and that there were some empty seats in the first row. This brightened my mood a bit and I made a beeline for a seat in the front row, just right of center. I figured, hey, this worked for us back in San Jose. I made a decision that I was going to enjoy the show, and that maybe I’d get some attention from that friendly Glenn, instead of Don, who was obviously severely pissed off about something! I got to my seat, settled down comfortably... and then groaned when some girl group I’d never heard of took the stage. They were dressed in cargo pants and tank tops and they were AWFUL. I remember thinking “Surely it’s just a song or two...” but I looked at my watch a while later and it was 22:45. They’d been on stage for 45 minutes!
As I was willing the crap girl group to leave the stage, I noticed a guy come and sit in a chair at the side of the auditorium to my left, a couple of yards away from me. I looked to see who it was, and it was Matt Damon, the actor. (NO idea why he was there!) He looked good and he seemed to be in a really relaxed, happy mood. He looked at me at one point and we smiled at each other. He mouthed “You’re pretty.” I laughed, looked down and went red. Then, as the girl band FINALLY left the stage, Matt came and plonked himself in the seat next to me. We started chatting and he was really nice, and made me laugh. He was joking about how everyone seemed really miserable and snooty here, and I was like, YES! Thank you! I was pleased to find a kindred spirit. I turned around at one point and saw Don leaving the auditorium through the backstage doors. Matt noticed and said “You like him, don’t you?” I blushed again and said “Doesn’t everyone?” He laughed a bit and shrugged. “Not me...” Before I had chance to ask him what he meant, the lights went down and I took a deep breath. I was excited about seeing the Eagles at last, but I was nervous that Don would give me daggers through the entire set because of my Coca Cola incident, or the fact that everything about me seemed to severely irk him...
I never got to see the show though, because I woke up before it started. Not sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing! ;-)
Wow! All that concert anxiety, and ... Don Henley is the most talkative, friendly Eagle of them all! I'd guess that Matt Damon really likes the Eagles, including Don Henley. (Well, maybe not as much as the Borderers).
Oh, and I was going to say that I think that Don Felder is instead, a little shy, with fewer large groups of people around him.
Fun dreams,--once you start reading and thinking about the sequence of events and characters in the dreams--you can tell that it's all a dream--nothing quite starts and continues within the same framework, once the story is going.
Troub---gotta tell you, love the whole Matt Damon thing! Thinking everyone was "snooty". :hilarious: Loved that dream!
Both of these dreams are hilarious! What the mind dreams up while we sleep!
I had a dream last night that wasn't about the Eagles actually but about a Borderer so I thought I'd put it here anyways.
I was in Vegas and who should I run into? Mike! He had some card that had numbers on it that he could win really big with but you had to hand it in in time for a drawing (lottery?) but couldn't get into the building where they were having the drawing. Don't know why. So I volunteered to go turn it in for him & wait for the drawing.
I got it there just in time and they ended up calling his name. I went to claim it for him and they were calculating how much he had won. They brought a big tub of money out with stacks of bills and told me the pot was $895,000.00 (I remember exactly what it was!). So I picked it up and was carrying it through the crowd and opened the door to the outside and handed it right over to Mike.
That's all I remember.
I better have gotten a little chunk of that $$ MIKE!!!
LOL.......Now if ONLY it twer true I would gladly have split the pot with you!
:yay::yay:http://bestsmileys.com/money/2.gif
A visit to Vegas? Now, this dream is out there!
When you get all that money, how about hiring the band to play for us? ;)
Oh wait, only 850 grand? That's not gonna be enough! Ill guess you'll just have to use it to buy us all tickets to see a show!
