I love this board. I feel so much better about my obsession with this documentary. I imagine I'm somewhere around 10 times now. At least for part 1. I probably could watch it every week but I'm trying not to totally burn myself out on it. My past time is watching Rock Documentaries and I have to admit this one is among the best, if not the best one.
I have a 14 year old son and the HOTE drives him nuts but I expect that from his he told me his like a few songs but wont tell what they are I read a article on Don cant remember when he talking at that time to his 13 year daughter and he said it was like Talking to a Tree I tend to agree with that when talking to my son lol:partytime:
I've lost track of how many times I've watched it, though I'm starting to fall asleep in parts. It's a costly obsession as I've bought 16 CDs, 3 DVDs and a couple of concert tickets since seeing it. I've started watching other rock documentaries, too. The BBC showed one on Status Quo a few nights ago and that was quite entertaining, even though I'm not a Quo fan.
I recommend the George Harrison one that Martin Scorcese made called Living In The Material World.
I've seen part of the George Harrison documentary - it's what made me record History of the Eagles.
when it comes to Eagles DVD"s and Cd's etc I preorder on amazon that is one item I can preorder and my hubby does not complain about lol he love them too
My husband and I have both watched the HOTE numerous times. It is on my do not erase list on the DVR. When I am home by myself, I watch parts of it over. I would love to see more live concert footage from their earlier days.
For me, my favorite 70's and all time favorite bands are the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
I watched it again today. Was folding laundry and nothing was on TV that I wanted to watch so I popped it in. Hubby sat and watched some of it but he was in and out because he was smoking meat.
I'm watching HOTE right now. Nothing is really on tv. I went to my DVR and start watching it.I actually watched it every single day. It gets me through the day when I'm at work.
Maybe I'm going through a phase because I haven't gotten sick and tired of watching it yet.
As I watch the documentary, Don H has really changed over the years.
