Heard Boys Of Summer today while grocery shopping!
Today morning was the first song what I have heard on the radio How Long, what a nicely start the day!
It sounds like BBF might get more airplay over here in the UK... It was played a lot (even on Radio 1) when it first came out.
I had just gotten in the car this afternoon, and I switched on the radio. I was just going to listen til I got my CD out and put it in, when suddenly, "Take it Easy" came on! I was so happy to hear it, as I normally don't hear Eagles songs on this station. I cranked it up, took off, and didn't listen to my CD til "Take it easy" ended!
I had to hop on real quick for this. Hubby and I just stopped at the store to run in for a couple of things and just as we started down the first isle, Peaceful Easy Feeling came on the store radio. Larry turned around and said to me "There's just no escaping the Eagles for me, is there?" Uhh--NOPE! :hilarious:
I heard The Heat Is On the other day. That's always a fun song to hear.
After Saturday's little comment from Larry, I had to post this one also...
Hubby has to be on the road about 4:30 every morning, we got up this morning and turned on the radio for the weather and they were playing LITFL--hubby looked at the radio and said "Oh, come on!!!" I just laughed. I personally don't mind being serenaded at 4:15 in the morning by the Eagles.
TBF, I am terrible when it comes to figuring out song titles by initials-what does LITFL stand for?
Stars, LITFL=Life in the Fast Lane. For help with acronyms see Soda's post:

Thanks, PM! Already that is coming in handy!
And Willie - LOL! What Larry has to endure. ;)
Larry's a good egg - he accepts his wife's obsessions because he is secure in his marriage!
PM, thanks for letting me know about Life in the Fastlane, and also Soda's post about acronyms. I am pretty dense when it comes to figuring out stuff like that!:)
I was at a restaurant this afternoon, having lunch with a friend, when "Lyin' Eyes" came on the radio. I stopped eating and said to my friend, "Listen to what is playing!" She knew right away-she likes the guys a lot too, and said she is sorry she missed them when they played around here. I had invited her to the Philly show, but she wasn't able to make it. Hopefully, she will see them next time they come around. She told me she told her husband they are one of her all time favorite bands. He said to her, "Well, maybe your friend Carla will go with you to see them, because I won't!" Now that sounds familiar...:hilarious:
I actually heard On The Border on the radio yesterday. Surprised the heck out of me because I never hear that song on the radio. I can only remember hearing it about 3 times in the last few years on my local classic rock station.
Very cool, Peek!
I forgot to mention this here, but there was a rickshaw in town the other day, advertising a local radio station. As I walked past, a song was on an instrumental part and I knew that I knew it, but I had to wander slowly past to get it... I nearly freaked when I realised that it was New York Minute!
Today I was shopping in the Goodwill, and decided to try on a few things. Just as I was putting on a shirt with stars(!) on it, what should come on the radio but "What Do I Do With My Heart"!! I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at that point, and I had a huge, silly grin on my face. It doesn't take much to make my day!
I was in a bookstore eariler today and heard Victim Of Love.
you such a luck the Eagles often in the radio or in a shop heard. :-o
With us in Germany they are played only completely rarely.
There one must already have much luck,
as last week as How Long times in the radio to hear was!:-o
To my surprise, I heard 2 Eagles and one Don Henley song while at work last night. It was really slow in the casino too so I was able to rock out to Take It Easy, Heartache Tonight, and Boys of Summer while I was working. It was nice to hear some Eagles at work, it had been a while.
I heard Already Gone on the way back from Books A Million
I love it when I get to hear the Eagles or a solo song on the radio. As I was busy doing errands on Friday, I heard an Eagles or solo song every time I got in my car. Every station I turned to had one playing at one time or another. And the night before that, I actually heard the Heat Is On at work. The only time I hear that song is when I listen to it on my ipod or on my computor. I started singing it to myself and then a couple of the customers at my table started to sing along with me.
Awesome, PB! I love those kinds of coincidences! Very cool too about the THIO singalong!! I can't help but sing along and/or move/tap (circumstances permitting, <g>) whenever I hear that song.
I just heard ICTYW on the radio! I was so excited to come across this as I was scanning through stations on my mp3 player as it's been many months since I've heard this one on the radio, and I of course had to go into another room to turn it on another radio so that two radios in the house were playing it. :hilarious:
We were in the pub getting lunch the other day. As the carvery counter was a bit noisy I didn't hear the music until my 4 year old son called over from his seat 'Mommy, Take it Easy'. Sure enough, it was being played in the background. When I returned to the table with the food the diners near us started laughing......They had heard it all and then saw my 'Eagles' fleece that I was wearing!
:hilarious: GA, so funny that you have your childrens' ears trained to pick up on the Eagles!
Last night when I got into my car to go to the tanning place, they just started playing Take It Easy Live and since it was 2 for Tuesday, I also got Witchy Woman. I sat in the parking lot till it finished and was almost 5 minutes late for my appointment. :?
Usually, Jenni has the car radio tuned to some alternative station, but I found a retro classic rock station the other day and left it there. This afternoon when I got in the car to go get Sarah and Witchy Woman was playing!! YEA!!
Its nice to hear WW being played. IMHO it doesn't get enough airplay here at all. Today we had 'Takin you Home' on the radio immediately followed by POMPOY!!
When I was with some friends in a restaurant recently, Best of My Love came on the speakers. I had to resist the urge to shush them so that I could hear it better!
I don't even hesitate to shush whoever is with me when the Eagles are on the radio or if I hear them in a store. It's either shush the person your with or block out what they are saying so you can listen. If the Eagles are on, i've gotta listen.
I do that in the car - my domain lol - but I feel embarrassed to do it in public places. ;) That said, I did tune out what my friend was saying. Luckily my other friend with us could pick up the conversational slack. lol
Anybody remember the Seinfeld episode where Elaine's boyfriend shushed her every time Desperado came on? My ex-boyfriend reminded me of that when I shushed him in the car to listen to Busy Being Fabulous! lol
Is that why he's your ex-boyfriend, Soda? :hilarious:
I am with Soda on this one, with a 12 CD changer in the car, 8 discs are Eagles, drives the wife mad, everywhere we go, what a way to go,
Gary:rockguitar:
Haha, it happend again. Today in my lunch break I met a friend of mine and we went to a cafe. When we entered it played "This way to happiness" and I started to grin :)
It only takes me two minutes to drive to work. What are the chances of hearing the Eagles? Apparently not too bad 'cause yesterday on the way home for lunch I heard (part of) Hotel California! :yay:
I was coming home from the grocery store today with a cranky kid, tired and I'd just realized I'd forgotten to pick up my prescription. I pulled into the driveway and the first refrains of Hotel California came over my speakers. I hit the Garage door remote, let cranky kid jump out of the car and sat there listening to the radio till the song was over. I felt SO much better!
I went down to Sarasota today to see some of the Cincinnati Reds Spring Training. Between the 6th and 7th innings (I believe), they played The Heat Is On! It was a great pick-me-up during the game.
Now mr, THAT was a treat! The highlight of your day, I'm sure. :)
Last week I was put on hold at work and it was Peaceful Easy Feeling on the other end of the line.
Dreamer- It most certainly was the highlight of my day. At that moment, I'm pretty sure everyone around me figured out that I am a crazy Eagles fan. :hilarious:
FFL- I hate being put on hold, but I don't think I would mind it too much if I was forced to listen to Eagles music ;)
