Cool shirts and fabulous pictures everyone! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your comments, pics and videos, guys!!!!!
So finally I have a little bit of time to share some of my thoughts on Saturday nights gig, and share a few pictures.
Let me first say what a thrill it was for me to be back in NYC so soon after my last trip there in March. Desperada and I were still on 'Dublin' time, so after about 3 hours sleep from Friday night decided we couldn't sleep any longer. After buffet breakfast in the hotel, we headed to Bloomingdales, and then met Dreamer at the Rockefeller Centre for lunch before doing 'Top of the Rock'. After that we had time to get back to the hotel and change for the gig.
I loved meeting even more people at the VIP dinner, including HH's friends who had come for the gig, and I bought quite a bit of merchandise. I was thrilled too to see that I had row 3 seat 2 centre - in layperson's terms..... right under Glenn  !
In terms of the setlist etc, the gig was broadly similar to Fridays gig, but having the seat so near to the stage just made it extra special. I remember Glenn  saying in LA about the show moving too quickly, and I definitely had that sensation. They passed seamlessly from one wonderful song to another, interspersed with documentary points from Don and Glenn . This is far more than just a standard concert or 'gig'. It really does give the feeling of a show.
I too noticed that Glenn  did not mention living in NYC on Saturday - maybe he moved out when he heard how many Borderers were there to see him.
Some personal highlights (apart from the whole show) were
Glenn  wore the blue shirt that I had been hoping to see him in for the first half of the show.
Once again, 'Already Gone'. The video story going on in the background is amazing IMHO and also Glenn  looks more than cute in it!
HT, where Glenn  really gets the audience going by clapping out the intro. They all seem to interact with the audience as a crowd.
Timothy getting the different areas of the arena to cheer! It was like a competition.
Joe and Glenn  jamming with each other at the start of Funk 49. Generally Joe was in blistering form!
Otis was there and brought a guitar out to Glenn  at one point in the second half. There seemed to be a little interaction between them which was very cute although for the life of me I didn't hear it!!
OK, now I don't want to be taken away by this or assume anything but during 'The Long Run' I was singing along and looking at Glenn  while Don was singing. I had seen Glenn  shake his head at the 'Did you do it for love' bit on Friday night. But he looked at me as he was singing it so I shook my head too. Then Don sang 'Did you Do It for Money?' Then I THINK Glenn  looked straight at me and he mouthed to me 'I did it for the money'. I smiled at him and half laughed and then he laughed and went on with it. He looked so cute when he laughed. I dunno. I think he sang it to me, but would hate to claim it if he didn't. KWIM. On Sunday I mentioned it and VA said that he did sing it to someone.... so......
At the end of the show when they had finished Desperado I had left my seat and was watching Glenn  walking around the stage thanking people and giving picks to someone I think he knew. I was trying to catch his eye when I felt someone's hand on my left hand, like they were trying to shake it!! I turned, looked up and TIMOTHY was putting a guitar pick into my hand. I looked at him, smiled and thanked him and he smiled back at me and then he was gone. The pick is dark with his name in cute silver writing. I will post it when I upload it to photobucket! I was just so surprised I was shaking.
Of course Laura has asked have I washed my hand since......
I think this was the best Eagles performance I have ever been at. As others have said (and I know I'm preaching to the converted) if you can at all get to even one show of this tour...
GA, I am really happy that Tim gave you a pick & that Glenn did that. Of course he knows who you are. :fainting: His memory for his real fans seems to be excellent.
Thanks FP!

what a fantastic account GA!
I wouldn't doubt that Glenn was looking at you!
not to say that I'm not a "real" fan (as FP put it), but when you're able to be in the front at so many of their shows, they definitely notice :) especially from half the world away! they're like..wait didn't I see you overseas?
aw I didn't notice Otis come out..I probably saw something like that happen but couldn't see who it was if I wasn't looking through my binoculars at the time. hehe
thanks for all these pics!
Epilogue......
It was great to meet so many Borderers in NYC, some were old friends that I had met before, some new ones for the entire weekend, others who managed to at least pop in while we were in Mustang Harrys, and also a few like BS, that I only realised were Borderers when I posted here.
The next two pics are of Desperada (on the right) and me. You have to spot the main difference in the pics. Then look at it closely.
That will be a story for another day.......

Your pictures are blowing me away!
How cool about the pick from Tim and I see no reason why you shouldn't think Glenn was singing to you when you were looking right at him!
Sounds as if it were an absolutely wonderful concert. So happy for you!
Wow, you got some fantastic pictures GA, & it was nice meeting you after the show! You looked so cute in your Eagles jacket!
A pick from Timothy! Wow, you are a lucky girl.
I was wondering if there is any video of HC from Sat night show?
I do think that was one of the best I've ever heard them do it. Joe was particularly on fire during that performance.
Thank you Dreamer for organizing the after show party! So glad I went & got to meet some more people from The Border!
Love all the photos & thanks for sharing them with us!
Excellent photos, as always.
Anxiously awaiting the story of how you came to be in possession of the working credential!!
wow omg I love them all. especially the rear view of glenn lol
VA you were right ...

what does WORKING mean on your laynarew>>
You took some beautiful pictures.
I have never seen so many great shots of dh and smiling at that lol
Step will love the will shots....hell I am in love with them myself. lol
and I had my picture taken with him and scott crago and when I said the girls at work were never gonna believe it he and scott stood on either side of me and both put their arms around me and I actually got a hug from Will.
Than k you so much for posting them and sharing. It sounds like you had a wonderful new York adventure bloomies included. lol
thanks again and am so happy you had a great eagles border adventure
OK, so this is one reason I love front row. The shirt isn't in the way so much, you're down on the floor and looking up. :D
Oh, and T&H, I did think of you when I saw the pic the next morning!

Ga! Sounds like an amazing time! Of course Glenn was singing to you! I'd have died on the spot! And Timothy giving you a pick, besides touching you? Wow! And your gorgeous pictures! They are all wonderful!
I'm so happy for you and Des that you got to come over for this! Wonderful memories for you both!
Can't wait to hear more about the lanyard.........
So gals, do u think it bothers hubba hubba sweet cheeks frye that we like and talk about that view?????:heart::hmm::applause::heart::thum bsup::D:D
A yep .
I would like to think he' d be flattered
I was actually thinking about that the other day!
I wonder if his friends/family find things (be it on the Border or otherwise) and are like..."Hey Glenn...check it out..you've still got it! look at all these ladies fawning over you!"
I doubt he finds/looks for stuff like that on his own, but someone has had to have informed him that the Heat is still ON :D
also I love how this has turned into a Glenn thread haha...all roads lead to Glenn
Yep the heat is still on lol. Well put t & h
They've all held up quite well. We're lucky - we get eye candy along with our ear candy!
so I noticed they didn't do Seven Bridges Road and I think maybe I heard somewhere that they can't harmonize like that anymore so it's no longer a tradition before shows backstage...is that true? am I recalling correctly?
