Very nice Ticky. I think both of those are great pics of Joe but there's just something about that other one that just really gets me. Although it is hard not to love Joe smiling in those 2 pics.

Woah, ticky... That first one is a favourite of mine, and HC Joe is gorgeous... but I have just fallen head over heels with that last photo. The hair, the cardi, the eyes, the mic... Perfection!
Wow, ticky. You've come up with some great ones.
Okay Ticky, what chord is he playing? Kinda makes you feel "accomplished" to know that he uses the same chords you use doesn't it!
http://www.joewalshonline.com/images/JWalshPensive.jpg
Wow!! I can't stop looking at this pic. Very nice Ticky!! Thanks for posting this one.
It is sort of hard. Joe has huge hands and fingers, but if you look closely at the picture in https://www.eaglesonlinecentral.com/...&postcount=766 I think you can tell that he is playing either an open "E" or and open "Am" (same fingering but different strings on those two chords). "E" is used a lot in rock music. In the country set, you'll see them playing a lot of "G" and "D" and "C" chords. Rock and Blues has a lot of Bm, E and Em and the 7th's chords.
In fact one of the most common "blues progressions" is "Em" then "B7" and then "A7". 12-bar blues....fun stuff!
I don't think I had seen this before but maybe you all have. I thought it was clever!

I have! but it's a favorite *G*
Have you seen this one? It's another favorite of mine

Rhonda, those are beautiful! I love the first one!
Thank you for some awesome pics. I particularly like the one with all the gold records!
Here's a cool item coming up on eBay. I don't think I've seen that pic before. If nobody else wants it, I'll give it a home!

GEF *G* isnt he adorable *G* go for it! I rarely use a mousepad *G* Thats from Robocop the TV Series by the way. Joe produced the sound track and did a few of the songs on it. *G*
For all the Joe fans:

I think he looks really adorable in this picture!
He does Stephanie *G* I wish that was in color. His eyes look so good in that pic, and his hair... and his smile.. *sigh*
Hey, for lack of a better place to ask this and since I don't have the CD insert or album covers, does anyone know on the live version of Ordinary Average Guy who is Joe singing with?
If you're referring to the version that appears on Look What I Did! it is somebody called Glenn Frey. But surely that is not the version you meant!
thanks FP *G* I actually think it IS the version I meant. I just didnt have any info on it. All my music is digital these days (except for the small collection of vinyls and a few CDs still in their cases.. unfortunatly none are Eagles or Joe) and I dont have any of the liner notes or info on anything So I rely on the kindness of strangers to keep me informed *G*
Cliffy decided years ago it would be a big helper if he digitized all our CDs and then got rid of the cases! OH GEE THANKS HON!! <--heavy sarcasm, He means well..
This is too small unfortunately to be fully appreciated  but I LOVE everything about Joe in this interview. His hair is gorgeous and the jacket/jeans combo is totally working for me. I think I glanced at Don for about three seconds during this whole segment. Shameful, I know...
http://www.joewalshonline.com/images...1999Felder.jpg
Love that pic Stephanie. Thanks for posting that one! And Troub, i agree about the jacket and jeans. That combo looks good on him.
You can get details from the inserts and liner notes as well as front and back covers at http://www.allcdcovers.com/ They have a ton of downloads that are free.
Thank You Mike! That really helps :)
I have a suggestion that will help those of us on dialup or who must access at times with slow connections. I'm certainly not bent out of shape over it but think it would be a good idea. I noticed it when trying to read the forum while I was out in Las Vegas using my notebook computer on a snail paced 21kb conection!
If you are commenting on a message containing picture that has been posted in a thread, instead of "quoting" the message, Just reference it by the message number that contains the picture. It really slows down the scrolling of messages when the same picture is contained in several posts and has to be reloaded for every message that contains it.
Course, y'all can all tell me to "go eat Sh*T and DIE" and I'd smile and not take offense. :rockguitar:
You are too funny, Mike!
You really do have a good idea. I can't even imagine being on dial up and trying to keep up here with all the pictures and banners.
You could also do the quote, but take the pic out.
It might help also if when posting pics, just put one or two in a post at a time.
Okay Mike - I think your suggestion has some merit so I'm not going to tell you to "go eat Sh*T and DIE". However, I think implementation might be a problem. I'm not sure how many posters want to have to go back and track down a number, and besides, I'm sure that you would agree that sometimes the photo is so HS&G that it deserves to be posted again.  Seriously though, most of the time I do try to avoid re-posting photos unless I think anyone will be confused about which photo I'm referring to (for example, if my post is going to be on a different page).
I agree with Mike here - in fact, in my Netiquette Guidelines, I mention that we have to be careful for dial-up users when posting photos - simply by spacing it out. If you want to post six photos - doing it in two posts of three, for instance. The spread-out enables them to load more easily.
I think we don't need to put post numbers. Just put names - "Soda, love that pic you posted!" The only time when this might not work is when there's a new page, and I think quoting photos is OK then.
But quoting photos immediately after they've been posted in your reply... no need for that!
Whatever you decide (complete quote, quote with picture deleted or just referece by number) it will be fine with me.
I just know that when I was forced to use a dial up connection, I had three choices.
1. I could turn off the option completely for displaying images in the forum posts. That would make 99% of the posts on the site here have unresolvable references...i.e. I wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about <LOL>
2. I could spend an ungodly amount of time waiting for the pictures to load when at some hotels, the local calls are limited to 30 minutes or less and cost $1 per call or 30 minute session.
3. I could just skip reading the forum posts until I got back home and on broadband.
I pretty much chose option 3. That wasn't satisfactory though because I have cultivated many friends here (and you IABAD I consider one!) and I did not want to miss any of the banter!
However, I hope no one who read my suggestion makes a mountain out of that ant-hill...I'm not. I ain't pullin up my pants and leavin' the party regardless of what is or isn't done. It was only a suggestion that might allow more people who have dialup only to be a part of what I think is a great forum here! It really doesn't impact me at all unless i'm on vacation and using dialup from the hotels.
I have dial up and no hope of getting anything better so I can't view long videos unless I want to sit for a hour and let them load then replay them. Also I have no computer skills to understand anything that Mike posted. lol. But I do thank you for think of us dial up people anyway. I am taking a computer class now so maybe in time I will get the hang of this. I do love all of the pictures but sometimes have to keep refreshing to get them all to show up on the screen. Oh, the joy of living in a small town.:brickwall:
Here's one way it might work AzEF.
I really like THIS PICTURE.
If you right-click on the "THIS PICTURE" link above and choose to "open in a new Tab" or "open in a new Window" the picture will be displayed. If you already know which one is being referenced you just move along with your comments about it. If you don't remember, you can click on it which will display it but it is at your option. This one happens to be the excellent black and white picture of Joe referenced in post 782.
I created the link by right clicking on the message number in that original post and then clicking on "properties". It gives the URL which you can then "copy" or use ctrl-C to copy to your clipboard. I then composed my message, hilighted the "THIS PICTURE" clause and clicked on the icon at the top that is a Globe and Paperclip. I then pasted in the URL I'd copied (or use ctrl-V). That it.
Now, most Forum Software, and I am sure this is one of them, have options that allow you to chose NOT do display pictures and graphics in the posts as you are reading them. That might be a good option on some forums but on this one, well, it is oriented strongly toward images and to kill the display of the photos would rob the member of what (S)he is coming here to experience.
If those are not the terms I was using that you did not understand, I could elaborate a bit.
Mike, you have made some good points about the tribulations of dial-up. Your method above might be a little long-winded for some, especially the 'puter-challenged, but I agree that a large number of pics in one post can be frustrating. I think reposting pictures is justifiable at times, and there is of course scope to edit out all but the specific one you wish to refer to. In general, about five pictures a post is recommended in the netiquette guidelines, although these are guidelines only and no one is going to object to the odd post with more in. I might also add that emoticons can really slow down loading pages - I've experienced this the odd times I've looked at work - and again the netiquette guidelines suggest limiting emoticons to about five a post.
Perhaps this should be in a new thread on dial-up problems?
Nice Joe pics, btw!
"A scope to edit out" I'm not sure I understand that.
As to 5 pictures a post...I really don't have any concerns with that at all....not in an original post....the concern is only when that same group of pictures is "quoted" a dozen times (exagerated hopefully!) and the same group of 5 pictures is repeated in subsequent posts.
But Hey, if no one else is concerned with it then please forget that I even brought it up. I probably have as fast or faster connection speeds than most of the people reading the forum. I can deal with it and hardly notice it when I'm here at home and I'm here 99.9% of the time.
I'll just avoid the forum while I'm on the road with my notebook computer and am forced to work under time constraints due to dial-up connections. No sweat.....it'll give me something to look forward to when I have to leave Las Vegas <LOL> and come back home!
I completely understand Mike, The new pictures.. or at least new posts are great to read and look at so are the responses to the old posts, but if the picture you're responding to is in the post just before it, then it's two good sized images (at least) you're having to load and, on a slow dial-up connection, that can be very frustrating (its walk away time, can take up to 10 minutes for several images). Images are the bane of the dial-up client *G* They're always fun (and sometimes HOT) to see, but some of them are such a high resolution, it can take the 28.8kb client forever to receive it!
It's not as hard or scary as it sounds.
When you click the "QUOTE" button look for [IMG] [/IMG](<- these are called Tags, btw) that and the stuff between them are the picture. just delete that part and the picture wont come up. (it kind of makes sense.. IMG stands for Image.. and /IMG mean no more image. Computers are dumb unless we tell them what to do.. you have to tell them when there is no more image. This might make it a little easier to remember)
If ya'll like the repeated images, dont worry about this stuff. The dial-up people can always hit the "Stop load" button. of course, that means NO images will load and probably most of the posts wont load either.
I have a blazing fast connection now (yea!!) but I have had a 14.4 KB connection and I know what it's like. LOVE LOVE LOVE the images *G* (believe me, I spend a lot more time here then I should, Im up to 1845 freckles I think *G*) but if I didnt have the connection I have, I wouldnt be able to count 10 freckles! Not trying to be a party pooper, just thoughtful *G*
Well Mike - I really do empathize with anyone who has dial-up. I used to have it myself and I agree it is a royal pain in the butt. I think we can all agree that we should make an effort to limit the number of pictures and emoticons that we post at one time, and avoid re-posting pictures unnecessarily. Hopefully, this will help. After all, we don't want to discourage you from joining in with all the banter (even if you don't want to join us in the freckle-counting). :D
