Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"

I wonder about Jackson too. Jackson and The Eagles both came out the same year in 1972. I wonder if Jackson crossed Glenn's mind to join too or Jackson wanted to concentrate on his solo career.

Also there's Timothy. What if Randy didn't quit the band, Timothy would had never been an Eagle. We probably would had never heard of Timothy. Maybe. He could had a good solo career.

What if Glenn's mother didn't find him in that basement. Would Glenn still be in the band with Bob Seger and later become a solo artist instead of forming the Eagles.

What if Don didn't bump into Kenny Rogers and asked him to see his band play at a club. Would Don had gone to California later on or would had still move to California.

What if Don and Glenn didn't meet that one day and also didn't play in Linda Ronstadt's band at the same time.

There are so many events that could had prevent Don and Glenn to not meet.

I wonder if Glenn asked JD Souther to join the Eagles when they first started. I always wanted about that. Glenn picked two guys he never met before and asked to join the band.

I was thinking just this when Glenn's mother passed away...the lady essentially changed rock history!! Boggles the mind...:)

IMO It was just timing for Don and Glenn to meet. If they weren't in California at the same time or on the same label, I don't think Don would had been in the Eagles. I think Glenn would had still had formed the Eagles, but Don would had been the missing piece.

Dreamer-

I was thinking the same thing when watching the doc. The part about Glenn's mom calling Punch Andrews really struck me as a huge what if.

Talk about the stars aligning! And we all benefitted :-)
