No opinions on this matter?
I must admit I'm having a hard time hearing him. I kind of think I can, but I wonder if I'm willing myself to!

I thought it sounded like him at the very beginning. Then for the rest of the song it sounded like Stevie herself. The ''ooh ooh' at about 3.30 could be him, perhaps.
I'm also on the fence - can't really tell if it's Don or not, but it could be.
Today is the 22nd Anniversary of the taping of the City Of Hope All Star Garage Band special. Don popped up in a lot of songs either singing backup, playing drums, singing solo or duet. I will bust out my copy to watch tonight. I've never watched the whole thing just a few clips on YouTube. We are still waiting on that R&B album.

Don playing drums on Gloria. Lots of close ups of Don on the drums. I just love when he just walked up to the drums and start drumming. I don't know how he kept up with the other two. They all were on one accord.

Thanks shun - I don't believe I've ever seen this either, but I like those videos.
I hadn't really paid attention to Gloria before and missed out on those close ups. Thanks for bringing them to our attention, shun!
I have not been able to find The Garden Allah video anywhere. Does someone have a link?
Welcome Steve - I went back and checked several links on the board for the video and, unfortunately, none of them are working anymore. And I'm not tech savvy enough to upload my copy of the video. Maybe some of our other members may be of more help. Wish you luck in finding it.
Don sings “Wasted Time” at one of his solo shows in 1991, the first time in 10 or 11 years. I love how expressive he is here, now that he’s not behind the drum kit.

Yep - absolutely gorgeous! And I just happen to be a huge fan of this song - I think it's very underrated.
Just now getting a chance to watch this. WOW.
Just watched. Absolutely gorgeous and so heartfelt! And Don looks so :smokin: too!
Thanks Delilah!
Nice find!
yes they took it down, that was my channel, everything is gone. luckily i have it all in google drive lol
Yep - Eagles-related videos don't have a very long survival rate on YouTube unfortunately. :bye:
This just got put up on YouTube a few days ago. As of right now, it's still there. It's Don on the Letterman Show signing "You Don't Know Me."

Still here today...thanks, CA!
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Don playing drums with Guns N Roses at the American Music Awards this past Wednesday, here's the video, Patience.

The Henley video with GNR is one of my favorites. That's a pair up I never thought I'd see. But he also sang on an Aerosmith song, so I shouldn't be surprised I guess.
For the longest time I've associated Henley with more of a country good ol' boy farmer type (maybe because it's how he dresses now vs back then) but he definitely could rock when he wants to. The way he is now reminds me of John Mellencamp.
I think it's all the plaid he wears lately and the button up shirts, lol. And the fact he just has a country vibe. Again, more of a John Mellencamp midwestern kind of vibe from Don. Glenn was always more of a rocker to me, but DH sang a lot of the Eagles rockers. The whole rough guy rebellious rock thing is Glenn to me at least in the 70s. He's got that frontman edge too. Don seemed more laid back in the 70s anyway.
Back to the videos!
But the thing is with Don, he could sing with anyone if its rock, country, R&B, or pop. He blends so well with everybody. He and Joe were the ones who branched out more in other genres. I love when he puts his spin on songs that are not his. Sometimes I like his version better than the original.
The collaboration I was really surprised with was Lindsey Buckingham. I would had loved to hear that story from Don one day because it's interesting that he would have his ex's ex-boyfriend play on your album especially when you heard stories of Don and Lindsey not liking each other.
I love his rocking songs like You Don't Know Me At All and I Will Not Go Quietly.
I agree that Don's style can be very versatile. However, I think most fans probably thought that the Eagles and Guns N' Roses were very different bands, and, it was a little surprising to see Don team up with them. But, it, obviously worked. The guest appearance was actually a return favor for Axl singing background vocals on I Will Not Go Quietly.
In honor of Elton's 72nd Birthday today, here's the duet Don did with Elton. Shakey Ground.

Thanks, shun! Cute song.
A little clip I found on Instagram of Don singing his verse at Stevie’s RnR HoF induction ceremony.

Nice detective work, shun. Thanks - I adore that song!
Thanks! Love it - although Stevie made an oopsie on the lyrics, lol.
They both look amazing.
Don just walked up to the mike smoothly. Lol The audience sounded like they were surprised that he was there. If he was surprised, somebody online made a boo boo. Lol
Their were other videos, but this one was better as you can see Don walking to the stage and very close ups of their faves instead far away.
I definitely love that song.
They both did pretty good other than Stevie's mistake on the words.
