if 'city girls just seem to find out early' does this imply that country girls find out late? or are the country girls victims of too many hands or is that the country girls can open doors with more than a smile because they have too many hands?

And why are people coming in anyway? is it to do the hollywood waltz?

If Randy, indeed, does take 'it' to the the limit, is he also a victim of too many hands? is 'same dances in the same old shoes' euphemistic for the ford administration? and, had they used 'boots' rather than shoes, how would it have been rimed? would they have referenced the impact of poor hair coloring?

What is your point exactly? are you trying to be funny?

winning awards (period) is nice, but not necessarily an indicator of greatness or lasting value.

Moby Dick was out of print for many years.
Most of William Faulkners books had poor sales and were out of print (and won no awards) yet, Faulkner's work and his value continues to grow in american letters.

so, the point that lyin' eyes won an award is fine as a 'neener neener' but, it as a measure of artistic merit, not so much. Remember when Jethro Tull won for best heavy metal band?

Popularity is important if you want to be a cheerleader or a mean girl.

If one wishes to be truly great, 'being well known' is not the central concern.

I have no quibble with Lyin Eyes... but, ponder this... had too many hands not followed it on the LP, maybe people would not have lifted the strong arm of the record player to return it to Lyin Eyes...
