Last night I had to take my car in for it's first oil change. I stopped at the mall for a few minutes afterwards. As I was looking around in the Hallmark store PCHFC came on the overhead speakers! I had to shop a while longer while it played. First time to hear it this year! :D Then in another store You Belong to the City came on. Another store and it played again! A triple shot! :D
PLS, GEF and Brooke: what special Eagles moments for you! I really enjoyed reading those! :D
I was watching my guilty pleasure, Days of Our Lives yesterday, and one of the characters used the phrase " The Long Run".
This is probably scraping the barrel a bit but on the 'Birthday File' on Wednesday morning it was announced that Britain's Prince Charles (next in line to the throne!) was 59 that day. Of course my immediate thought was 'Gosh he was born just the week after Glenn  '
And I know who I prefer
And this afternoon driving my daughter to her swimming class I was stopped behind a car with a yellow plastic sign on the back window which read ....... SEXY GIRL.......!! :D
I have a hard time around Thanksgiving every year. Nine years ago, I was devastated by my grandmother's unexpected death the day before Thanksgiving. It's always a struggle for me to get thru the holiday. On Wednesday, I was in the grocery store getting some last minute ingredients for my baking (you'd be surprised how hard it was to find fresh cranberries) and needless to say, I was in a bad frame of mind. As I stepped forward to pick something up from a display I noticed the overhead speaker playing True Love. It made me pause for a second. The weight dropped off my shoulders, a smile spread across my face and I finished my shopping with a lighter step. Music can change so much. :D (thank you Glenn)
Oh, that's wonderful, PLS. Thanks for sharing!
Isn't it wonderful what a pick me up you can get from just hearing those voices? Hope that made your Thanksgiving a little easier PLS.
I have never seen the Big Lebowski but I had heard there was a running gag in it about the Eagles so while surfing the channels the other night, I found the movie was playing and stopped to watch a little bit of it. I tuned in just in time to see Jeff Bridges riding in a cab when the Eagles came on the radio and yelling "I hate the f....g Eagles!" Guess I'll have to watch the whole movie now.
PS....my apologies for the language, hope I didn't offend anyone.
lol - I posted that clip in the "YouTube" videos thread!Quote:
