Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Soda, you have so many dreams!
In that first one, I think I would have liked for Glenn to help me with my dress. Maybe he would unzip it......
Sorry for being bad. lol
In the second one, I can't imagine arguing with Don and receiving one of those looks! Yikes!
Too funny!

:hmm: Do you think it's possible that a lot of us may have been thinking that?

Very possible, dreamer!

I'd be disappointed if we weren't thinking that! :nahnah:

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Last night, I had a dream that I was at (most likely) a soundcheck for an Eagles concert, and I was sitting sort of off to the side in one of the floor sections. All of a sudden, I see Don and Glenn jump off the stage into the area between the stage and the first row of the audience. Don had his longer, HFO-style hair and the red plaid shirt from HFO on, and Glenn had his blue plaid shirt from F1 on. They were just standing there talking, and then they started laughing at something, I have no idea what it was. The only thing I distinctly remember about this dream was Don laughing and smiling... It was a nice dream, to say the least. He looked adorable! :inlove:
And when I woke up, I had I Love To Watch A Woman Dance stuck in my head. Strange...

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
That was a strange one, Tori - but in a very good way!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Nice dream Tori! At least you had one involving the Eagles!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Sounds like a fun dream to me!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Soda, all those dreams are wonderful. It always amazes me how you can manage to have full blown conversations with Glenn  when all I ever do is waken up!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
The other night I had the strangest dream, I guess I was just wishing I was going to Vegas to see the show last night, but this is it:
This is an early Eagles scene, maybe about 78, when TBS is new in the Eagles. I am backstage in some dressing room or something & of all things I am giving Timothy a hair trim. I am not a hair dresser, but somehow I get to do this!!
So Tim is reading a guitar magazine or something, not paying any attention to what I am doing on his hair, but I would guess that trimming Tim's hair is a rather rare occasion. Glenn suddenly comes strolling in the room, & say's to Tim. "I can't believe you're cutting all your hair off" Well, Tim jumps up out of the chair & throws his magazine on the floor & says "What do you mean?" And Glenn says "She cut off like 6 inches of your hair" Well, now Tim is about to have a fit. He turns to me & starts yelling at me, "I thought you said this was going to be like 1/2" trim?" He's like really upset. He goes, "This is why I don't let anyone touch my hair" I'm just standing there biting my lip, trying not to start crying. Then Glenn points to Tim & goes, "Got ya" & starts cracking up laughing. Well, Tim doesn't think this is too funny, so he goes to throw a hairbrush at Glenn, so he runs out of the room, laughing.
Then, I show Tim in the mirror that I only cut a tiny bit of his hair off & he's
telling me, "I'm so sorry, I should have known he was just pulling my chain" or something like that. Then, I just bust out crying like a baby, & Tim gives me a hug, & he says, " I'm sorry,How can I make it up to you?" And then I wake up.
It was all pretty funny.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Oh that is funny, Tk! I would have loved to have seen the look on poor Tim's face when he thought you'd wacked his hair off even if it was a dream.
And too bad these dreams always seem to end at the good part. How many of us here would relish the idea of being able to answer "How can I make it up to you?" for your favorite Eagle! :bye:

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I almost believed the joke was real when I read the dream story! I'm glad it was just a joke!

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
All the Vegas talk must have sparked this one.
I'm sitting at a table in some casino that's obviously pretty "fancy" with Cris Angel and Carrot Top. We're eating dinner and having a couple drinks and talking over plans to build our new casino. We all agree it has to cater to entertainment and most importantly, comedy for Carrot Top, magic for Cris and music for me. Cris says we have to plan on making it a huge deal with a grand opening that will surpass anything Vegas has seen as of yet. It seemed like we talked for hours about all the arrangements, financing, etc...
All of a sudden, we're all backstage all dressed up and greeting people on opening night. I'm pacing up and down a hall all nervous because I'm about to meet the Eagles who will be performing for our opening night. Carrot Top comes over and starts cracking jokes and tells me to "lighten up while you still can" (yeah-he really said THAT). I told him to stop joking and called him Scott (which is his real name) that he didn't understand that I was about to meet some of the most important men to me, ever. He joked that he thought him and Cris were to most important men I had. Then he smiled and told me not to turn around. Of course I did, and saw Don and Timothy coming down the hall. Timothy had a huge smile on his face. They walked up to us and I introduced myself and Carrot Top and up walked Cris who introduced himself also and welcomed them. Carrot Top started telling more jokes and pulled out dolls that looked like all the Eagles. Timothy started laughing but Don just shook his head and asked where their dressing rooms were. I told them to follow me and when Carrot Top started to follow, I told him to stay there.
I showed Don his first and then took Timothy to his. I told him I was a huge fan of the Eagles and thanked them for appearing at our Grand Opening. He asked if I would like to come in for awhile and I said yes. When he opened the door, Glenn was there and said he thought this was his room and apologized. Timothy introduced us. We all sat down and discussed how we had come about building this casino.
That's all I remember. I don't remember waking up but I don't remember any more of the dream. Darn it!!!!!
I do remember Cris was always dressed in black and had lots and lots of rings and crosses on. Carrot Top's hair was very vividly red (which it is) and wild, but I don't remember what he was wearing.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Love the part where Carrot Top pulls out the Eagle dolls and Don just shakes his head. Sounds like something Don would do.
Now if we can just get Glenn to leave... :bye:

So Willie - how much would it be worth to you if I manage to escort Glenn to another room?

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Interesting dream! Yeah, too bad Glenn spoiled your alone time with Tim. Perhaps his role in the dream is to thwart illicit behavior. ;)

Well, seeing how in your dream he zipped your dress up instead of unzipping it.....

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I know! Out of all my Eagle dreams, I've only had two romantic ones starring Glenn and the only other romantic one I had starred Joe as he looked in 1975 or thereabouts. Sadness! :(
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I don't remember your romantic Joe dream...can you find it?
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had it before we started this thread. I had been working on designing and creating JWO, which is probably what inspired it, as he looked in the dream like he looks in the JWO banner:
http://joewalshonline.com/images/joebanner.jpg
There's not much to it. I'm in my room up in Indiana. All the lights are off but I'm not in bed. Joe strides in, pushes me against the wall, has his way with me, then leaves without a word.
Perhaps "romantic" was the wrong word to use...

Anyway, I only found one of the dreams, and honestly, it wasn't very romantic either. Boo! I guess I was embarrassed to post the other one.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had a dream on the night of the concert that I'll post here once I'm a little more awake! It involved Glenn serenading me and Don in a hot pair of Western jeans... it was good. ;)

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I had one but I don't think most people will be impressed by it, although there were a couple of nice moments. It is not romantic - mine never are.
I was at Soda's university and Glenn was doing some workshops with students about music theory & media studies (obviously the NYU thing has been in my mind). He was asked to do role plays with some of the students and as usual turned on the charm. He was wearing a tie & a black & white striped sweater. He looked very nice. But Soda & I were just observers & didn't get to talk to him (I am sure if I hadn't been there Soda would have talked to him). Anyway it all ended up in confusion. We were in a gym so had to take our shoes off. I couldn't find mine; they were blue sandals. I searched through every blue shoe in the gym & never found a pair; anyway someone gave me shoes & I went to catch a plane. :unimpressed:
I told you it wasn't very interesting.
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
The shoe part is actually pretty funny.

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
That dream makes about as much sense as mine do, FP, and I'm always happy to be a guest star in someone else's dream! ;)

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
I'm sitting here reading through your Eagles dreams and wondering why I never have dreams like that. :hmm:
I've never had a dream about the Eagles; I had one dream when Will Hollis came into the room where I was at a party. I looked across and saw him but a minute or so later he had gone. I didn't rush over to speak to him, and it didn't seem strange to me that he was there even though every other person in the room was family to me or people I knew, and it was in England!
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Guess it's not surprising that you'd dream of Will, Steph!
Here's a dream I had a little bit ago but didn't have a chance to post until now.
In the dream, I'm sitting at a picnic table with the Eagles, all looking as they did in Las Vegas, and Irving Azoff. Glenn is across from me and Don and Irving are on either side of me. Everyone seems tense and is eating in silence. I feel like I shouldn't be there.
Suddenly Glenn says to me, "You're upset." Everyone turns to look at me.
I say, "No! I'm not upset! I'm happy to be here!"
He replies, "OK, you're worried."
"Yes, I guess I'm kind of worried," I reply. I feel anxious, like I know something bad is about to happen - I just don't know what.
"You'll be upset when you hear what I have to say..." he begins, and suddenly I know that he's about to announce the end of the Eagles.
I don't want him to feel bad, so I quickly say before he can continue, "Don't worry, I won't be upset if I can't see you in concert. I can always call you if I want to say hi." In the dream, this seems perfectly reasonable!
"What are you talking about?" Don asks, looking from me to Glenn.
"The Eagles are over," Glenn says in a tight voice, then gets up abruptly and leaves.
"I knew it!" Don cries. "I knew he would do this!" He looks at me crossly. "The picnic is ruined!"
I look down the table at Joe and Tim. Tim looks depressed. Joe is frozen mid-bite, eating something that looks like chicken salad.
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I went to see them in Las Vegas since it turns out that will be their last show ever! I think, but don't say anything. I mean, what can I say, really? They seem to have forgotten I'm there anyway. Irving is talking across me to Don.
"Don't worry, Don, everything will be OK," he says soothingly. "I'll talk to him."
"I knew he would do this," Don repeats, but he seems calmer.
Glenn is out of sight now. I wonder if he's gone home.
Suddenly, I'm in a big, old-fashioned, Victorian house - in my dream, it's Glenn's house. I'm at the top of a staircase on the second floor. I start walking down the staircase and I meet Glenn, who is on the way up. "Just make yourself at home," he tells me as he passes me on the stairs, barely giving me a second look.
Obviously, it's up to me to entertain myself, but I don't have a problem with that. I just feel lucky to be there! I go downstairs to the den and there is a big TV playing what appears to be an educational program. I sit down on the couch but I'm not really interested; I'm too busy thinking about the big announcement Glenn made.
I hear the TV ask, "What do we call a dinosaur who just eats plants?" I ignore it. The TV says, "If you're not going to answer the question, then I'll mute myself."
Amazed, I think, Wow, Glenn's TV is so high tech it can talk to you! I reply, "I'm sorry, it's not that your program isn't interesting, it's just that I was thinking of something else..."
The TV, displeased, turns itself off despite my attempt at an apology. Bored and thirsty, I get off the couch and go into the kitchen. No one is around, and Glenn did tell me to make myself at home after all, so I go to his refrigerator and pull out a Coke. I decide to go back upstairs and find my room. On the way up the stairs I meet Glenn again, who is now coming back down. This time he pauses. He sees me with the Coke. "I see you found the kitchen."
"Yes," I reply, a little sheepishly.
"Do you want to watch TV?" he asks.
"Well, I watched it for a while, but then when I didn't answer its questions, it turned itself off," I answer. "You see, it was showing this educational program..."
"Don't worry. I'll go turn it back on and you can watch whatever you want," Glenn says. He continues down the stairs and I turn around to follow him down. I hope he'll stay and watch TV with me, but I don't ask him to do so - I want to be as low-maintenance a guest as possible. I figure, if I'm not a bother, he might invite me back again sometime! Otherwise, I know I'll probably never see him again.
On that rather sobering note, I woke up!
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Okay, not the happiest dream by a long shot. But a couple of hysterically funny moments:
1. You would notice what Joe is eating at a time like that!!??
2. The TV getting in a snit with you - priceless!!
-
Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
 Glenn storming off, Don being grumpy, Timothy depressed and Irving trying to smooth it all over. Too funny that you're trying to tell Glenn it's ok if you don't get to see him in concert again.
Talking tvs? :headscratch:

Re: Dreaming of the Eagles
Only got two words for that one ... Oh my!
