I know ... I think they are from Rome, 2009 and I'm not sure who took them, but most all of the pictures that photographer took of that show were amazing. Maybe someone else here can remember more about where they originated.

Yep, that's him alright. I've seen lots of pictures of him from that era. There are other pictures of Elton performing with the guys. I'm on my iPhone or I'd post some.
