Not a direct "Eagles" song but too funny all the same....
Settled in lastnight to watch some television, turned on Cold Case for lack of anything else that caught my interest. One of the early scenes was a 1960's flashback to a party with a bunch of hippie-types and the music they used was The James Gangs' "Walk Away"....couldn't help myself, had to sing along!
That's great! lol
i work at a cafe in Carmel, and yesterday during a small lunch rush and i heard the opening bass line of One of These Nights!!! I sang that song the whole time i was helping customers :)
I was listening to my ipod on the bus home from work just now, and I randomly decided to put the radio on (I don't think I've ever listened to the radio on my ipod.) Guess what song greeted me? One of These Nights! It was at the 'I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight' part. Made my day!
I don't exactly know where to post this, so I will do it here.
My husband and I were having dinner with a group of friends last night to cheer up one friend whose mother had just passed away. We were all talking and laughing about funny things that happen at the most unexpected times. My husband said that his eldest sister was a huge Elvis fan and when she died, she requested that they play songs from Elvis' Gospel album, so when we walked into the chapel for her funeral, they were playing Elvis singing "How Great Thou Art."
Well, my friend knows that I am a huge Eagles fan so she said, "We will have to play Eagles songs at Dana's funeral," and started singing "Already Gone." Everyone burst into laughter.
LOL!!!!!
One day last week I had a meeting that I was very apprehensive about. I was quite worried as it was possible that the meeting itself & the outcome could be quite unpleasant. My clock radio woke me up that day to the sound of "Take It Easy". (My favorite son of all time!) That set the tone for the day & I approached the meeting with less apprehension. It turned out to be a pleasant & positive experience.
"Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy!"
What a great story! Glad things went well.
GL--Love it. Isn't it amazing the way music can change your whole frame of mind?
