Oh I bet it did Dreamer. Its as well they weren't playing the whole album or ou might have bought a lot more than you intended!
Today coming home from work I didn't like the song on the radio so I changed station ..... just on time to get NKIT in full. I then channel flicked again when it was over.... and caught Lyin Eyes in full on a different station. Finally heading out later on I caught NYM!
A good day to be an Eagles fan.
I heard Peaceful Easy Feeling today as I was heading home. I heard Hotel California the other day.
Sitting here in the hotel lobby waiting for the car service to the airport & TIE is on! I'm sad that my Eagles adventure is over. Come on Memphis! !
They just played Boys of Summer during a changeover in the US Open semi-final match Djokovic v. Wawrinka!!
Sunday Night Football going to commercial they just played the intro to Lifes Been Good
I like that, SC!
Yesterday on the drive home, I had SiriusXM/Classic Vinyl on. They played a snippet from an interview with Glenn where he said that OOTN was one of his personal favorites, then followed it with OOTN. I was a happy driver!! It was great hearing his voice and then my #1 Eagles song.
Later, they played Boys of Summer on Classic Rewind.
Gotta love 2 ferTuesday! I heard LE & AG on the way home! :blueblob:
I heard BOS on the radio yesterday. I was channeling the radio and there it was. I started singing along.
I heard One of These Nights this afternoon.
OK. Maybe I crazy, but I am always hoping I would hear an Eagles songs on the radio when I'm in my car. I love when its on as I change the channel and you would get surprise if its on.
I have bronchitis. Today waiting in the DR office for an x-ray HOW LONG was played on the overhead speaker!
Sorry to hear you are sick SC. I love How Long!! I wish my doctor's office would play the Eagles songs instead of stupid daytime television or CNN, both of which stress me out.
Feel better SC!
thanks guys, Got a shot 14 days of antibiotic and an inhaler. Hopefully they start kicking this thing. I hate missing a day of school so early in the year.
It was cool to hear that song though. Usually it is all "bubblegum" pop stuff. Made me smile.
I hope you get better Pam!!!!
I heard Tequila Sunrise and I was super excited. My ipod isn't working in the car so when that came on, my dad was giving me the shame signal. LOL
Take care, SC! Hope you recover quickly!
I heard Desperado on Saturday. The version I heard didn't sound like the original. It sounded like a live version. I came in the middle of the song. So I don't know if the audience clap at the beginning.
As I was watching Married With Children this morning and they played the instrumental version of You Belong To the City in one of the episodes called Guys and Dolls.
I also heard HC yesterday and Take It To the Limit early this week.
This isn't a song, but we have been watching re-runs of WKRP and I think in Andy's office there is a poster of The Eagles.
I was going to a baby shower this afternoon. As I was sitting in my car waiting to go into the building, I heard Best of My Love on the radio.
I heard the HFO version of HC heading home today. Its been a while since I heard that version on the radio. I actually that version. Too bad they never use that version again.
Actually I heard HC twice today. The original version as I was heading to work and HFO version heading home. I think the people in the other car probably thought I was crazy I was singing it this morning.
On vacation in Boston and Philadelphia last week, in Boston at the Sam Adams brewery tour the crew had Peaceful Easy Feeling playing in the brew room, and at King of Prussia mall walking between mall buildings they were playing How Long! Gave me a little thrill during a week of musical deprivation!
Today I heard the very end of Hotel California (when I was coming back from the beach) and wanted to hear all of it!!! LOL, but glad that I heard some of it
Today I heard two Eagles songs (LOL and the radio station is called The Eagle)!!! The first was Busy Being Fabulous (that one I never heard on the radio before) and Take It Easy.
Cool name OM13, and great that they live up to their name!
I'm watching 'The Simpsons, Tree House of Horror'. Bart has been turned into a robot and NKIT is playing in the background.
LOL that is too cool Liz!!!! And I love the radio station as well as the name. LOL yes they do live up to their name. I heard Life In The Fast Lane this morning and then Heartache Tonight this afternoon. I just love the Eagle!!!! LOL
Flipping through channels and America's Sweetheart comes on, Catherine Zeta Jones comes into the scene with Witchy Woman playing!
we were flipping channels last night and on the remake of Dukes of Hazzard a Joe Walsh song came on during the movie. I forgot which one though
Lisa, I think I remember that episode!
Heard NKIT on the radio at my work last week and had to hang around nearby.
Nobody at home this evening except me, so played my newly acquired vinyl, Hotel California and The Long Run, both in great condition and a bargain at £1 each!
Its kinda funny. I heard the Eagles 4 times yesterday. As I was heading to work, Take It To the Limit came on.
Then as I was out yesterday, they played Eagles back to back. Like 30 minutes apart. First I heard I Can't Tell You Why. Or the solo part because they were about end the song. Then about 20 minutes later on another radio station, they played HC. Then the station that was playing I Can't Tell You Why earlier played HC on their station. I was like, they played them back to back yesterday afternoon.
Waiting to watch Boardwalk Empire just now and caught the last few minutes of Stephen Merchant's (Ricky Gervais's writing partner) new show Hello Ladies on HBO. The song playing in the last couple of minutes and over the credits was You Belong To The City.
was in the grocery store this afternoon...and "All She Wants to Do Is Dance" came on...happy shopper!
I was out shopping today for clothes, for work, but especially for the upcoming Eagles concerts. I wasn't having any luck and then NKIT came on!! I was so excited as I was sure it meant I'd find THE top to wear. No such luck, but it sure made my day anyway!
Getting my annual haircut at the Astor in the village this afternoon, and Take it Easy comes on the radio! Almost burst into laughter, but got a grip and had a stupid grin on my face while my hair got chopped off.
Just heard The Long Run in the car dealership tonight when we got our new vehicle. Pretty cool.
I went to lunch at Wendy's today & as I sat down to eat HC started playing. It made for the start of a very pleasant dining experience.
I was changing the channel on my radio and I heard All She Wants To Do Is Dance as I was heading to work. I turned my volume up to the max and started dancing in my seat. I even did raise your arm thing Don does during the chorus. She wants to party. (Raise arm) Oh!!! She wants to get down. (Raise arm) Oh!!! I think the people next to me probably thought I was crazy. LOL
A radio station here in my city does Mystery Oldies where you guess the song by listening to the clip for like maybe 5 seconds and call in if you know the song. So one guy called in and said it was The Eagles "Take it Easy." I was like that's not the Eagles. The song was actually Sister Golden Hair by America. I don't know how he got Take It Easy from that. LOL
I heard Travis Tritt's version of Take It Easy on one of my country radio stations. That does count since the guys sing backup in the song. I rarely hear Travis' version on the radio. They use to play Clint Black's version(which I think another great version from the Common Thread album) Desperado religiously back in the 90s.
