Yes, the letters are P&W for Play & Wave which is what the Long Run tour was called, not JW. You can see the ampersand if you look closely at the last photo I posted.

Oh yeah, of course, I didn't doubt it once it was pointed out to me. Like I said if Joe didn't often wear different monogrammed sweat bands I probably wouldn't have thought the P was a J!
I had no idea the tour had that name. Learn something new every day.

Play & Wave. They would play & then wave at the audience. presumably. According to the Rolling Stone cover story it was nicknamed Puke & Wipe at a point when some of them had stomach flu.

Sorry but I couldn't resist it. I do have a couple of other eye contact shots from Sydney 2010. I posted one a few days ago. I need to get a better zoom lens.

Getting the eye contact while taking a picture would definitely have freaked me out! I would have been afraid he would call me out on it right then and there and told me to stop taking pictures! :fear:
