Two weeks or 14 days from today!!!
Whichever makes it sound sooner!
:yay:
OK - I am starting to freak out, I am so EXCITED! !
Is this normal?!?! :hilarious:
it's normal to me....14 days from this moment...or is Louisville an hour earlier?...if that's so ...we'll be avoiding JD...LOL
I'm ready to start packing...got the suitcase out...
I can't stop wondering what they've got up their sleeve! And I can't wait to meet you guys!
Lol Z! Avoiding JD? I like to think of it as one final toast before the show (which may conveniently coincide with JD's set.) ;-)
Good point, though, is Louisville an hour ahead of me? Going to check right now..brb...
Yes, right now it is 9:20 in Louisville. (It is 8:20 here in Illinois)
I'm feeling it too!! Nervous excitement and anticipation. I hate to wish time away, but I'm hoping these 2 weeks pass quickly!!
Pm, congrats on getting tickets! You all are going to have so much fun!
Thank you Brooke! I'm just relieved I get to go to the first show of the tour, because I wanted to be surprised by everything when I saw them. Can you imagine not reading any of the reviews here until October??!!?? I don't think I could have done it. :ack:
I don't really care if I'm surprised or not. I'll be reading reviews till my show in October.
I really wish I could go to this show, but any thoughts I had of trying to finagle it since the company would pick up the airfare and hotel disappeared when my sister commented that she worried her visit over the 4th would be the last visit to my house in VA, since I might move to KY. She did say she'd make me mudslides all evening so I wouldn't be depressed that I'm not in Louisville on the 6th!
I'm here in the Louisville area, thinking about living here. I decided to look online and see what churches might be in the area and found this very interesting quote. For those who don't know, Martin Luther was a Catholic priest who got excommunicated for questioning a few things. His followers who also left named themselves Lutherans.
I know I am often thankful for music and those who write and play and sing!Quote:
Music is the art of the prophets, the only art that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us. - Martin Luther
I have discovered that I enjoy concerts more if I don't know everything beforehand. I didn't have the same excitement at the Eagles shows I've been to and some of the Jackson Browne's shows where I knew the set list and other stuff ahead of time. Since I know this is a factor for me, I'm very anxious to have that excitement of the unknown at Louisville!
I love that quote VA! How so very true!
Whatever you decide, I hope it becomes an easy decision, one where you feel His guidance.
Prayers are being said for you.
Thanks for the post and quote va. I appreciate you very much.prayers for you as you continue your desision process .
VA, I missed your post last night. I must have been posting at the same time. I was responding to Brooke's post.
I was raised Lutheran, so I am a little familiar with Martin Luther. When my mom and dad celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year, I searched for a quote to put on the invitations. I used this one by Martin Luther.
'There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.'
I hope your decision becomes easier as you find the pros and cons. Write them down. Think about them. I'm sure you'll make the best decision for you and your family.
Wow - Hard to believe we're less than 2 weeks away from the opening show of the tour. The excitement is really starting to build! :yay: :yay: :yay:
PM - glad you got your tickets and I also want to congratulate "Fingers" on her retirement. Her career may have been short, but it was quite impressive!
And VA wish you could be there with us and good luck in coming to the right decision about relocating.
Yep Dreamer, Mr. Prettymaid and I will be there doing this with you...:yay::yay::yay:
And Mr. Henley Honey. They'll be able to commiserate!
Yes, that's the one thing we know they have in common!
10 days.....
And we got our tickets today!:yay::yay:
the Eagles will rock Louisville on July 6th!
wow:bow:
YAY Cathy....can't wait...
10 DAYS!!! :inlove:
I don't even mind if they work all the bugs out in Louisville. I get to see the first show!:yay:
Just talked to Zelda. We are Sooooooooo ready for next week.
So excited for you all to get to see the first show of the tour! And I get to see the second show of the tour in Milwaukee :) I hope someone going to this show manages to get down a setlist so I can see what to expect.
Do you think our guys are as EXCITED as we are?!?!
:blueblob::blueblob::blueblob::blueblob:
I was thinking...I wonder if the guys are nervous at all about this tour starting?...when was the last "big" tour they had like this?
I'll bet they still get nervous before the first show of a tour. Maybe you guys sitting up front can do something to make them laugh! Get the jitters out of their system!
Down to single digits.......
9 days!!!!!
I can feel your anticipation HB!
Enjoy it!
Their first gig in the LROOE tour was in London on 20 March 08. I was there along with MF, GEF and a few others. We could sense slight nervousness from the lads - they rarely deviated from the script! A flawless performance though.
We heard they were far more relaxed a gigs later and certainly when they arrived in Ireland the following year there was no sign of nerves at all!
Thank you GA!
I told HH that I am kinda glad that I will be in Chicago next week busy with family. So hopefully it will keep my Eagles excitement somewhat contained & under control!!
Of course, these are the same family members that will be going with me to the Orlando show so we will be talking some Eagles! :)
Let me jump on the 9 day bandwagon! :blueblob: I got into this countdown celebration late in the game, so I have some catching up to do! I am savoring the anticipation! Glad I have you all to share it with!
Plenty of room on the bandwagon PM!!
I have never had so many crazy(but nice) friends to share my Eagles anticipation with before! This is sooo much fun!
