I was listening to a radio station I usually don't listen to and All Night Long. I think that's the first time I've never heard that song on the radio.
I was sitting in Jimmie's Diner today and heard "Already Gone."
This never happens to me. I was just at the hairdressers & heard After The Thrill Is Gone.
I've gone 2 for 2 on changing the radio stations when I got out of tange. The first time, I came on the "kinda bent, but we ain't breaking" part of The Long Run. The second time, I caught Boys of Summer just as it came on. I wonder if I'll go 3 for 3 when I have to change the station as we get closer to Panama City. Lol
I was shopping the other day when I heard "Peaceful Easy Feeling" playing over the store's speakers. It put a big smile on my face!
I bet is did Soda, I was at my work Christmas party in Athlone on Friday night and the DJ played Boys of Summer at one stage!
Oh and Lacken, great to have met up again!
Was good to meet up again GA - hope you had a good night at your Christmas party :-)
MTV Xmas keeps playing 'Please come home for Christmas ' - but it's the Jon Bon Jovi version  so I just close my eyes and pretend it's the Eagles version which is soooooooooooo much better !!
Oh it was great thanks Lacken - I think we will be barred from the Shamrock Lodge in future. The band made the mistake of leaving their instruments behind in between their slot and the DJ........
A similar thing happened to me the other day, L101. I was in a store and Please Come Home for Christmas started playing. I have no idea who was singing it, but it wasn't the Eagles or Bon Jovi, so I didn't know whether to post in this thread or 'Little Things that Remind You of the Eagles'. Doesn't really matter, but I totally agree about the Eagles version being the best by far!
Flicking through tv channels last night. Ghostbusters II! And it was in the middle of Flip City. I became obsessed with listening to the full song.
That's cool, UTW. Soda used to have an EOC YouTube Channel with a lot of these rarities of the band available for streaming, but, of course, she ended up taking it down.
I was in Captain D's yesterday to get my mother and I something to eat and Take It Easy came on the radio.
Hearing Glenn's "True Love" at while shopping at Marshalls was an uplifting experience for me. Maybe not for other shoppers within earshot, as I shamelessly sang along. How can you not sing along? It's such a joyful song.
At the dentist's office, and Desperado starts playing on the radio station they have just as I'm being numbed up. I take that as a good sign. It definitely made me feel a bit better.
Heard "Please Come Home for Christmas" on the WC yesterday.
Watching the Young & the Restless just a while ago during lunch and the great Victor Newman spat out "when hell freezes over" at one of his pions!
Made me think of Don Henley, of course!
I heard Heartache Tonight in Fuddrucker's with Houston Baby!
Heard Grace Potter's version of Please Come Home For Christmas today. Of course, no one tops the Eagles' version, but hers was pretty darn good.
Earlier this week I was having lunch at Ben's Restaurant in the city, had a craving for hot pastrami, and I must've got there during the Eagles part of their music selections, because I heard Hotel California, and then a little while after that, Ol' 55 came on! I did a double take hearing that!
Yesterday in the drug store I was about ready to go up to the checkout counter when New Kid In Town came on. I stopped for a second because I wanted to hear the whole thing. Luckily, the pause reminded me that I had forgotten to pick up a birthday card for my sister, so I didn't have to wander around aimlessly with nothing to do.
Hopefully they didn't interrupt the song with their lame announcements, Dreamer. That always happens when a good song comes over the PA at CVS. I wanna shout, "You're ruining it, people!"
Yikes, NMB. That is lame. I guess I made the right decision when I went to Walgreens.
I was in my car and I decided to change to another radio station. Busy Being Fabulous was on. That was the first time I've ever heard a Long Road Out Of Eden song played on the radio ever since I became a fan a few years ago.
Yesterday walking around midtown Manhattan with friends, One of these Nights is blasting from a car or it's coming from the restaurant the car is parked in front of. Thought that was pretty cool for all to hear. And then later eating dinner at Chevy's, Hotel California as done by the Gypsy Kings. Couldn't get into their version, it was too Gypsy Kingish.
It's not very often that this happens to me, but I was in the car with my Dad on the way to the Tranmere Rovers match on Saturday and much to my delight New Kid In Town came on the local radio station. It was the last song they played before going into the build up to the day's matches.
I recognised it immediately, as I could hear the keyboard intro while the radio DJ was talking. My Dad knows about my username on here (it's the only good one I've ever come up with, I cringe at most of my monikers on forums) so he called it my signature song.
Today (when driving to Austin) my satellite radio was playing Take It Easy and Hotel California! I couldn't contain my excitement! It was weird; I was thinking of Take It Easy 'cause Jackson Browne was on before the Eagles
In the middle of talking to a friend through the Bluetooth phone in my SUV, the call drops and NKIT starts (or resumes) playing on a preset channel on SiriusXM.
Keep in mind this has happened three times with three different friends. Finally had to politely ask Glenn to stop interrupting my calls. Yes, it's been since 18 January.
Strange? No, not really!
That is pretty awesome!! Glenn really does love his fans that he comes on after calls!! LOL!! I want him to disrupt me anytime of the day
When my alarm clock came on this morning New Kid in Town was playing. Instantly made me sad. As I lay there listening and thinking of Glenn I realized that Strange Weather had also been playing in my subconscious mind. Why, I don't know!
I'm at Walmart and Heattache Tonight is playing on the PA.
I heard Ol' 55 when driving home from eating out!!
Just heard Seger's "Night Moves" at Wendy's, which of course, reminded me of Glenn. Then "Tequila Sunrise" came on. I was glad to hear it, but it made me sad at the same time.
