Wow--I really don't know what to say about that interview! I know it was 1986 but I have to wonder if it is for real or not. There is nothing there that I can picture Don really saying or doing. Do we have any confirmation at all that this really took place?
I know--I wondered the same thing, Willie. Since Carrie has written several books, this could be a work of fiction as well.

8 months--Amazing--I guess I hadn't even thought about it being that far away when the dates went up! I can't even fathom how long that would feel like when the excitement just builds and builds! Sorry if I am depressing you:). Just enjoy all the anticipation leading up to it. That is half the fun of it all!!!
Tell me about it! I'm going to be a nightmare for the next eight months. On a serious note though, I'm quite glad. It's a decent amount of time to save up some more money and get in some mad exercise! ;) It'll probably fly by once the New Year has come.
