I know, isn't he sweet! ;)
I went into my Twitter account yesterday & I noticed that a girl is following me. She's from a band called The SHEAGLES, the first all girl Eagles tribute band. I looked them up on YouTube!!! Actually,,they weren't bad! LOL
Thought that was funny because I don't really tweet that much, but she knows I'm an Eagles fan! :-?
Funny...we were visiting with my brother in law and his wife last weekend...and he asks me.."so what are the Eagles up to this year?"....I guess I'm the "expert" on the subject...lol
Saw this at the TGIFridays here in Alpharetta where HH, Zelda, and I had drinks.

Great find! Glad to see [I]The Allnighter[I] up there!
Heartbeat City by The Cars---my favorite of their albums!!! Very cool!!!
I couldn't take a pic of the entire wall, there wasn't a good angle.
Very cool indeed VA! I saw the NFA album cover up in Captain Americas a few weeks ago. I tried to take a pic but between the angle, the light and the fact that I just had my iphone it didn't happen! I'll be in again and I'll bring a 'proper' camera.
I just went to Amazon to track my copy of After Hours and saw that it shipped from Coffeyville! What a coincidence that the album shipped from a city that was mentioned in an Eagles song.
Very cool!
This morning at church, the pastor opened his sermon with playing a little of Randy Newman's 'You've Got a Friend In Me', then read the lyrics to the song. Since Glenn has mentioned several times that he likes Randy Newman's songs, I thought of him.
On Friday night, my kids' charter school had their annual fundraiser auction. The guidance counselor showed up in black and white shoes just like Glenn's. I don't think I've ever seen shoes like that in "real life".
Yesterday, I was on the train & this tall handsome guy got on & I swear he looked just like Don Henley, like from the HFO era, the same hair & all. I was staring at him, he was just striking looking! Just like Don! I put on the Eagles on my Ipod during the ride! lol
My husband is playing a Manhattan Transfer CD. Route 66 just came on.
Last night at work, during the late night hours, we had a band playing and they were playing lots of classic rock/southern rock and suddenly they broke out with ALREADY GONE!!! Needless to say, I WAS HYSTERICAL with glee! :blueblob::inlove:
Oooooh. Lovely Lizzy. Bet that woke you up!
On the flight back to Memphis last night, I grabbed an in-flight magazine and thumbed through it. There was a cute article about collectors of old "nerd cars" from the seventies and the writer described how he rode one of these collector's fully restored AMC Pacer through town. He said almost every man in a certain age bracket who saw him go by gasped in delight despite the car's infamy when it came out, lol. Now, the good part: while he did so, he listened to an old 8-track cassette of Hotel California in the car's 8-track player. He said the quality of the cassette was so bad that it sounded like the Eagles had recorded the album underwater.
That's brilliant Soda!
This morning on the radio the dj was telling about their noon hour contest. The ninth caller when they heard Boys of Summer playing would win a free lunch somewhere. I could give it a try, but I never go to that town for lunch, too far.
Reminded me of Don, of course!
I was having a conversation today with someone I met just recently...and she used the phrase "get over it" eight times(I counted)...i was just giggling to myself the entire time!
I drove by Linden, TN the other day - which put me in mind of Linden, TX - Don's hometown!
I was surfing the tube last night and came upon the MusiCares concert for Neil Young. I watched some of it and was wishing it was the one for Don Henley!
I do like NY too though!
Every time that I open the pantry door and see the jar of peanut butter I am reminded of my virgin Eagles experience with VA and HH!! :grouphug::thumbsup:
That sounds incredibly interesting and very yummy LP!
just read a line in a book about raven hair and ruby-red lips...seems to remind me of a song I've heard before!
I was at my great niece's birthday party this evening... my niece and her family took a driving trip across the country earlier this spring...I was looking at their photo albums...I saw one pic and asked where it was taken...My niece's husband said "on a corner in Winslow Arizona"...I almost died...he said yeah we were singing the song when we were there...needless to say I was very jealous.
Very cool family there, zelda! They actually knew about that corner!
Lol Zelda! Reminds me of the time when Lou and Jess were 'stranded on a corn in Winslow Arizona'! I was jealous i wasn't with them!
That story with Jess and Lou is funny now, but IIRC, I don't think they were laughing at the time. Those girls were on a mission to get to the San Jose Eagles show and they weren't interested in getting sidetracked.
Yes! I remember getting a few panic texts from Lou at the time. It was a real case of 'alls well that ends well'
And poor Lou had also gotten one of the first planes in a week out of England to get there in the first place after the volcanic ash grounded all planes! Her nerves must have been in shreds by then. I know mine would have been!
And didn't they try to leave only to be confronted by a dust storm or something so ended up staying an extra day? I remember those panic text also. Somewhere there's a picture of them kneeling by the sign that is laying on the ground. Once they made it to San Jose, there were some gorgeous pictures taken and quite a few other Borderers there also, weren't there?
There was an article on the front page of yesterday's newspaper about the forecast that this would be a warmer than usual summer this year. Of course the title was "The Heat Is On"! Caught my eye right away! :)
