Eagles at KFC Yum Ctr, Louisville, KY - 7/06/2013

Hello Everyone, The Eagles have always been my favorite band, and I have never had the chance to see them in the past. I tried twice to see them in the LROE tour, but both concerts that I had bought tickets to were cancelled. I have been trying to keep my excitement about this tour down because I didn't want to be disappointed again. Now my excitement is quickly building since I got my VIP Nation email last night. The main concern that I have is that the eMail stated that no cameras are allowed, is this true? I understand banning video and flash, but no pictures at a concert that I've been waiting my whole life to see? I hope this isn't the case. Have any of you guys been able to take pictures at Eagles concerts in the recent past?

They always say that and they generally allow pictures without flash and video. However, this is a new tour, so the rules might be different. I will say there have been times in the last year they didn't appear to appreciate cameras in the front rows, and at Vegas in Dec those in the first two or three rows were told by the ushers that no pictures were allowed.

Welcome to The Border, SEF! As VA said, this is a new tour, so who knows what will be said. I was at a show on the LROE tour where the tickets said no cameras, but at the show when Glenn greeted us he specifically said still photos were okay.

I would imagine any performer would get tired of having the same person take picture after picture after picture, and my thoughts on the subject are to take a few good pictures, then put the camera away and enjoy the show. You miss a lot holding a camera in front of you.

Thanks VA! This makes me feel better. I don't want to take a thousand pictures, but I would like to have some. I don't want to miss this show, but it is nice to have a few pics to impress (annoy) my friends with. Like I said in my other post, I have been cautious in my excitement, but now I feel like I can't hold it back much longer:blueblob::blueblob::blueblob:

The first one cancelled was in Philly, then they added the one in Hershey Pa, and that one got cancelled. In between that they added a show in Raleigh, which is much closer to where we live, but since we had the tickets already in Hershey I thought I was good anyway. After the Hershey one was cancelled I tried to get tickets in Raleigh, but all the good ones were gone. Since I've been wanting to see them for forever, I decided I didn't want to have bad seats. My wife and I aren't the tallest people either, and with our luck we would have BigFoot standing in front of us for the whole concert. :brickwall:

I remember how excited I was about my first (and so far only, but I'm really hoping they travel Down Under again) Eagles show... it was amazing, and felt slightly unreal.

There are often concert photos posted on this board too, so come back and check in after the concert (& if you do get any photos we would love to see them!).

I agree with everyone. Be tactful and respectful and take your shots, then put the camera away and enjoy the show!!!

I'll be at the pre-show party with my husband and Sodascouts, our fearless leader who is away at the moment. I'll send you a pm with contact info so you we can say hello -- in 4 -- count 'em -- 4 freakin days!!!!!

Now.....I get the taking pictures thing I really do.
But, when we went to LROOE the first time they were really strick with no cameras and were throwing people out who were taking pictrues....so we didnt take any pictures.(For most of that tour and we saw three shows in two venues it was tough to take pictues)
You have to be really careful but for me I just want to enjoy it while its happening in front of me and imprint it on my brain for life.
we have taken pictures at other shows but just a few and then put it away.
You will have a blast with Nancy and HH and Zelda and the gang....

Thanks, Tiffanny! Like you, I want to see the show through my eyes and not a camera lens, but I would like a few pictures. Oh well, I guess I'll find out when I get there. In the past since I wasn't able to make an Eagles show because they were broken up, or I couldn't afford even the cheap seats at the time of the HFOT, or shows getting cancelled, we sprung for the front row package. So, I doubt I could get away with taking pictures for long anyway, but damn, I would like one good one of each of the guys. Mainly, I just want to see and hear them with my own eyes and ears.

Its funny , for me ....I loved just taking it all in at that moment...I also loved sharing the expeirence of it with border friends (cause they get your obsession with the band).and I am blessed I have a tbs pick thrown to me by tbs that he used.

Thank you for being so nice! I really appreciate it. Also, it is good to be in the company of people who understand what this band means to us. I really loved the quote from the HOTE documentary that the Eagles were the soundtrack of our lives. It couldn't be more true for me.

Can't wait to read your concert post. Take a small notebook and pen and write down set list notes shorthand..jahh does but I carry it in my purse

I have received 3 emails over the last 24 hours reminding of The Eagles on Saturday. As if I needed a reminder!

I hope everyone here that has tickets for Saturday's show is super psyched! I know I would be. I've been listening to primarily Eagles since tickets for the july shows went on sale back in March!

Hello All!

I just wanted to tell everyone that going to Louisville to have a great
time and enjoy the show. I'm so jealous and wish I was going. I had the
pleasure of meeting several of you when The Eagles opened the
KFC Yum Center back in 2010.

Unfortunately, my wife and I couldn't make it to Louisville this time.
I have to work all weekend and besides, we just got back from a week
long trip to Cleveland because I've always wanted to visit the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. If you are a rock fan and have never been,
it's a fun place to experience. While we were there that week, we got
tickets to see Alice Cooper on a Thursday night and then Fleetwood Mac
at the Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday night. Had a great time. But, I
couldn't get off work again that quick to make it to Louisville.
We are still looking for some good tickets for either Nashville or St Louis in
October to see The Eagles. (keeping fingers crossed)

Anyway, Have a great time everyone! I will look forward to reviews and
pics after the concert.

I don't think anyone ever thought that was going to be the last show. Did you think the tour was going to be 3 weeks? That was just the first leg that was announced..
