Congrats on 9000!
...and how I love those posts!
..great pictures..I'd never seen those before.
open shirt buttons = happiness ;)
OK experts, what song are they doing there?
Great Minds Think Alike Cathy - I was wondering the same thing! Timothy looks to be singing lead so that narrows it down quite a bit. Back in the day they did "Keep on Tryin'" which required harmonizing from everyone. That's my guess, but I'm happy to be corrected by anyone who knows better. What's that guitar he has?
I'm goin' with Keep on Tryin' too Soda.
CONGRATULATIONS WILLIE!!!!
KEEP ON APOSTIN' !!!!
The Eagles sang "Keep On Tryin'" ? I don't recall ever hearing that they sang this Poco song, but I could be mistaken. I saw "The Long Run" tour, & I'm pretty sure they didn't sing that.
Before the Eagles recorded TLR Timothy toured with the band... and sang KOT in the set . See his bio for more info. :)
This has got to be one of my favourite pics from our Vegas show. I can't get over how ADORABLE they both look! Glenn is so sweet and Don's boyish smile just kills me. Two extremely gorgeous men! :thud:

I totally agree! Thats one gorgeous picture Troub!
Surprisingly this topic is still the same one as it was when the board started. This is the first photo I posted.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...0s/End1979.jpg
And a fine choice it was!
FP inspired me to go back and search for the first picture I posted on The Border. I went back to the first "Eagle Hotness" thread and it took me a while to find it, but I finally did. I must say that the eye candy in the thread was so appealing, I spent a lot more time than I planned and ended up looking through the whole thread. I was very surprised to find that I only posted about 5 or 6 pictures in the entire thread, but I sure did a lot of commenting on all the pictures. Anyway, here is the very first picture I posted and it just so happens that it was posted on the day of the official opening of The Border, 12/15/06. Even today, this remains one of my favorite "official" photos of the band ...

I will say that I saw a lot of great pictures as I was browsing that thread that haven't been posted on the board in a long time. I'm going to try to post some of them here between now and the end of the year!
Dreamer, I've always loved that picture of them too! What a great shot...They all look HOT:smokin:
No, there was one before this one, but it started out as a hodge podge where we posted not only Eagles photos, but also non-Glenn photos when it was solely a Glenn board, lol. It's here.
The first one I posted:
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...slongrun05.jpg
Well, I should have known, but surprise surprise, the first photo I posted in that thread was also the one I posted first in the second thread of the Long Run era.
Okay - As promised, I am going to repost some of the good pictures from the old Eagles hotness thread that we haven't seen in a while. I'm just gonna recopy the whole post on this one. The name Freypower gave them was PhilipsArenaAtlanta. Too bad Don is in the background, but these are awesome anyway ...
Here are a couple more ...
Looking hot here, but not a happy bunch ...
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...reeBobby02.jpg
And this is another one Freypower posted that she titled Indian Wells. These are the very same shirts that the guys wore when I saw them in Oakland in October, 2005. It's funny cause we were just talking about this shirt of Glenn's in Frey Fever ...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dianWells2.jpg
The reason my photos have titles like that is so I can find them. If you name them after cities you know where they are. I was more specific with the Atlanta photos because I had other photos which were just called 'Atlanta'. This, for instance:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...l/Atlanta2.jpg
So several years later when they played Atlanta during the LROOE tour I called the photo I saved 'AtlantaLROOE'.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...lantaLROOE.jpg
My avatars on the other hand have more 'interesting' names.
LOL, EK! How about "Gorgeous Glenn ", "Handsome Glenn ", "Elegant Glenn "... I can go on.
Oops, sorry, this is the thread for Eagles Hotness, not Glenn  Hotness, so I'd better head on down to Frey Fever.
Sorry, I'm feeling somewhat frivolous today.
Okay - here are a few more photos that I grabbed out of the old Eagles hotness thread.
Does Don's shirt look a little familiar here? These are from Rome 2006 ...

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...2006rome19.jpg
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c9...fan/rome77.jpg
And here's that shirt of Glenn's again that has popped up several times recently. This one's from Munich 2006 ...
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...esmunich02.jpg
I sometimes wonder, when they find a shirt they really like if they buy in bulk!
I have naming conventions for all the photos I upload - the name of who's in them, first initial last name (GFrey, DHenley, etc) and then it varies - for live shots, it's usually location and date and number if there are more than one (GFreyAtlanta2010-01) preceded by the photographer if I know them (GFreyJessAtlanta2010-01) or something like that. if I get it from a magazine, tourbook, songbook etc I indicate that usually - GFreyLROOETB01).
However, when it's a photo where I can't identify where it was taken or where it originated, I do sometimes name them special stuff.
For instance,
GFreyGuitarHotness:

GFreySmokinHot:
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...ySmokinHot.jpg
GFreyDonLookinGood:
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...LookinGood.jpg
Or sometimes I just name them things for my own amusement. For instance:
GFreyGolfWhores
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...GolfWhores.jpg
;)
But to keep this on topic...
eaglesgefLRHot
http://www.glennfreyonline.com/image...esgefLRhot.jpg
ie, photo of the Eagles from glenneaglesfan's collection, Long Run era... HOT!
I've noticed you do that but if I called all my photos starting with 'GFrey' I'd never find them.
I called this 'Decent Barn Pic' because I love this photo & this was the first decent sized version of it I saw.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...entBarnPic.jpg
Whereas this is 'Lifesize'. It was huge but it seems to have shrunk.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...l/Lifesize.jpg
"Lifesize" works for me. That is one hot shot.
Yep - all these pictures are so HS&G as far as I'm concerned. And here are a few more HS&G ones from the old thread ...
These first two are from Birmingham, UK in 2006 ...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...irmingham7.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...irmingham2.jpg
And this one is from the Walden Woods Benefit in April 1990 ....
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c9...odsconcert.jpg
Wow, WE - I would have loved to have been there at that show. You'll have to tell us more about it. And, I'm crossing all my fingers for you that next year will be your year to see the band live. :headbang:
Here are a few more old pictures that haven't been posted in a while. Hope folks don't mind seeing these repeated, but I figured some of the newer folks to the board may especially enjoy them.
These first two are from Twickenham 2006 ...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...wickenham4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...Twickenham.jpg
And I'm not sure about the year on this one without looking it up, but some of you others out there may remember. I'm thinking it was also 2006, but can't remember for sure. In any event, it's quite nice ...

Great pics, Dreamer!
I posted about the Walden Woods show in one of the "Cheap Talk and Wine" threads back during the summer. Here's what I wrote:
"I've never been fortunate enough to see the Eagles live in their entirety. I didn't start liking them until 1980, so no shows there and I was too young anyway. And more recently, whenever they were in the area, I either didn't hear about it until later or couldn't afford to go.
I've seen a couple of Henley shows though, and the last one gave me the biggest Eagles-thrill of my life. It was April 24, 1990 and Don was doing his first concert for Walden Woods in Worcester, MA. Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffett and Bob Seger were there, but as far as we knew, this was the bill. No other "special guests" had been announced, to our knowledge.
Toward the end of the show though, Don introduced some additional "friends" - Timothy B. Schmit and Glenn Frey. I screamed! I cried! It was a dream come true. I never imagined that I'd EVER see Don and Glenn playing together again. After all, the Eagles had been apart for 10 years! And having Timothy too was icing on the cake. Glenn played "Smuggler's Blues" and to be absolutely honest, besides "Desperado" and "Hotel California", I could not have told you what the setlist was until seeing it on fan sites recently. I was that blown away. My boyfriend had to drive home because I was literally shaking with excitement.
I still hope to someday see the whole band, but even if I don't, that night will always be something special."
Oh and this is good - over Christmas, I found out that my brother and his wife went to see one of the stadium shows in Foxboro, MA with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks a couple of years ago. WHAT?!! I didn't even know my brother LIKED the Eagles! Once more, days late or dollars short.
That's it. The saving starts now for a 2012 show, college payments or not! My husband has already been warned!
