In my opinion, when Glenn had long hair, the moustache suited him down to the ground.

Koala, I don't recognise the drummer in the first photo - it doesn't look like Scott Crago. Can you perhaps clarify this for me?
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think his name is Roberto Chavira. He is the drums/percussion tech & he occasionally plays percussion (not drums). If you look closely you will see he is behind the congas.Quote:

It was kind of scary to me! And the choice of headgear surpasses some of the hideous headgear at the Prince William's wedding last year. I wonder who sits and makes these things up?

Love that one with Joe V. and J.D. in it, VaIsFEL - the band doesn't always look real happy in some of the Long Run pictures, but that one is definitely an exception. :yay:

That was at a function to honour them in England, and for whatever reason, he did not attend. There was a rumour that he played golf instead, but nobody knows. He doesn't attend many of these things.
If I recall correctly, the "he must have been out playing golf" statement was not really a rumor so much as a snarky comment made by those who felt he was shirking his duties. Of course the assumption is that all the other Eagles nobly stepped up to the plate and did their duty but the selfish, irresponsible truant Glenn blew it off to go have fun. And the evidence for this is....?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I actually think it's unusual for three out of four Eagles to make an appearance together. Usually it's one or two Eagles at an appearance, or all four Eagles. Three out of four Eagles at an appearance makes the missing Eagle too noticeable (as our conversation demonstrates), so they probably try to avoid that. If so, that would imply that this was not planned and something came up that forced him to miss it.
However, as we'll never know, it's fruitless to speculate; all I can say is that I imagine he had a very good reason for missing it.
I know; I didn't want to interpret it in an adverse way.
Anyway here they all are at a more recent occasion in Monaco.
