I watched Insidious 2 tonight, and the little boy's name is Dalton!
I was at a Bible study earlier today and part way through the minister said "As Don Henley said 'are you with me so far?'" Got quite a chuckle out of that. Totally unexpected.
Love that one, GL - very cool minister!
That is funny!
My pastor always be throwing songs into her messages. That be getting our attention. I don't think I would see her throwing any of the Eagles songs in there. LOL
Soda and I were just talking about "Dalton" and now yesterday I saw a girl wearing a sweatshirt with DALTON in big letters across the front with Tigers underneath smaller...I looked it up...it's a local high school football team
When it rains, it pours!
So Laura and I were in London over the weekend and we were heading back through a mall to our hotel after the Taylor Swift gig in the O2. We passed a well known UK children's store called 'Mothercare' Laura pointed out it was a shop where 'Mother is half a word'. Just at that moment a young guy came past me on a skateboard (skateboarding along a mall when the shops are shut seems to be an after hours activity). This guy was wearing a t-shirt with 'Detroits finest' on it!!
Lol!
Flipping through the channels, I happened across a movie called Desperado.
Too funny GA! What a coincidence - definitely Glenn on your mind for both you & Laura.
Looking at a magazine tonight & there was an ad for a winery here in Houston on RICHARD FREY RD. Maybe I will go check out the street sign & take a can of paint, cross out Richard & write GLENN.:lol:
Soul singer Charles Bradley had this on his Instagram

because that's his nickname: the Screaming Eagle of Soul
hehe
he also has a song called Victim of Love:

I was watching Batman the other day. The Joker was in a room talking to some gangsters and one of them asked him why he got that smile on his face or something like that. The Joker says, "Life's Been Good to me." Made me think of Joe's song.
That's funny shun!
I've been reminded of the Eagles a lot lately as I've been watching Bones with my Netflix and one of the characters makes me think of Timothy. Also I noticed yesterday my Beatles-comic -themed calendar has a funny picture of McCartney saying "Mule of Glenntyres" as a song name. Then today I was sitting at a astronomy lecture and our teacher talked about a telescope and its name sounded like Shmit or something similar.
Zelda, there is a lab assistant named Zack during seasons 1-3 and he's cute, brown eyed an brown haired, young, innocent and enthusiastic which makes me think of young Timothy
Last night I was watching the Beatles tribute and when Paul was singing Hey Jude the camera caught someone recording with a phone! I wonder if Don or Glenn saw that?
Let's hope not, Brooke!
I was visiting an office yesterday where there are only a few ladies in the office, and several men. One of the ladies was complaining about the toilet tissue not being replaced in the ladies room when needed and then sometimes the tissue not being put on the roll properly. The lady who was talking about this told me that she also sent an email to the other ladies in the office as a friendly reminder about the ladies room!
All I could think of was that old story about Don Henley writing someone a letter about hanging the toilet tissue the wrong way in the bathroom. Too funny...
lol! The infamous toilet paper roll story! Y'know, I gotta say, I now think of Don every time I reach for toilet paper in the bathroom stall and see that the roll is on "wrong." Thanks for that, Don!
an etsy email titled "Do it for Love" caught my eye

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Soda
I reminded me of "The Long Run"
Quote:
Did you do it for love?
Did you do it for money?
ding ding ding!
GL got it haha
I mean that's what I was reminded of anyway, but hey FP if it makes you think of that Glenn song then that's okay too! :DQuote:
did you do it for love?
did you do it for money?
but also to reinforce the Long Run aspect of that email...it's "Do it for Love" from Etsy "Success" aka money in some cases
Oh, OK, sorry... The Long Run is not one of my favourites. :depressed:
Love it, T&H!
GA : That is so funny!
I travel quite a bit and always have a bag for "dirty laundry"-
I am now going to think of it as the Don Henley bag! https://www.eaglesonlinecentral.com/...cons/icon7.gif
I don't know the Don toilet paper story! haha
what is it?
but I have a "right" way of putting the roll on, and get irked when it's not on correctly haha.

(source: in fact, there's a page of diagrams and explanations about this "right" way haha)
if it's the same way as Don, then it will from now on be known as the Henley way haha.
In the 1979 Rolling Stone cover story Don encounters a toilet roll where it has been put on the holder in the 'wrong' way as per your diagram. It annoyed him because the paper design had flowers which he thought should be on the top. He wrote a memo to the cleaner complaining about it.
haha nice!
Drove through a small town today and saw Glenn's Cafe! I wanted to stop and take a picture, but couldn't talk hubby in to it!
I'm sure they had good food! lol
On the Olympics tonight they did a story on the Russian folk art of nesting dolls. It reminded me that years ago I bought a set of nesting dolls of the Eagles that were on Ebay. It was so unusual and I had to have them! Thank goodness it appeared that no one else wanted them. :)
re the toilet paper, this is just a warning for all of you, should you ever visit me. I do it the wrong way and I'm not changing it!
HB, I saw a story about the nesting dolls a few years ago because someone went to Russia and to a store that sold them. They had several sets of Steeler nesting dolls, all Steelers from the 70's.
When you get your Eagles ones, can you post pics?
I'll compromise by taking it off the holder and standing the roll up on the edge of the vanity.
