Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I prefer it the "right" way, too - having to reach under the roll makes it harder for me to tear the sheets neatly since I can't see the perforation as well.
I've got Don's back on this! ;)
(Would I write a letter of complaint? Um, no, but still. lol)
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
Haha! I'm also with Don on this one and just can't figure out why anyone would turn it the other way! You have to fiddle around to find the end if it's upside down.....
Even my hubby agrees with this one, but I'm the only one that ever puts the paper on the holder. He doesn't know how!
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
When I got married I had to change to do it the "right" way. I don't know why I gave in because like Brooke's hubby, mine never puts on a new roll either! I didn't mind as much about giving in when I read that Don agrees with him.

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I guess this explains why I'm divorced. I didn't give my hubby options.

This has been very informative, from now on I'll be sure to do my toilet paper the Don Henley Way.

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
Paris Hilton celebrated her birthday with her parents at Dan Tana's last night. The paparazzi were all over the place when she left. So glad the paparazzi were not waiting on PLS, Dreamer, Soda and I when we left Jan. 17th.
Which reminds me of the research I wanted to do regarding the trolley track given to Dan Tana by Don, Glenn, Linda Ronstadt and ?. Help - I cannot remember the other woman's name. :headscratch: Soda, do you remember it?
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
Sadly, my memory is full of holes. I'm guessing the picture you took of it didn't come out?
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
The picture came out ok but the writing is so small, I am not sure of the name. Of course I can make out Don, Glenn & Linda because I recognize those. I am going to try and digitally enlarge it and see if it will be clear enough to read. Otherwise, I might just call the restaurant. I remember we were curious who she was. Thanks though!

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
Watched PBS Masterpiece movie called Framed, and the lead actor, Trevor Eve could be Don's doppelganger, he looks just like Don with different hair color!
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I'll have to check him out!
I'm watching a rerun of Castle and the murder victim is named Felder. Kind of disturbing hearing them talk about "Felder's corpse", honestly!

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I have a good friend and his name is Randy Meisner! Sorry to say he doesn't resemble the HOT one....

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
my boyfriend and I were watching the Walking Dead, and he says to me, "Isn't Glenn your favorite character?" and I was like...huh? then he winked at me..."you know...Glenn...?" haha

unfortunately they're talking about the football team :weep:
haha, but I got to hear "the Eagles" and my name, "Tiffany", thrown around a lot together :applause:

Thank you!
Bobby is a keeper for sure! We are celebrating 12 years in April
Just to clarify, the concert wasn't my Christmas present...
this was my Very Eagles Christmas (I had started an Eagles gift thread)
but it was all so very memorable anyway :D
That was the first Eagles concert for both of us too.

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
Brooke - I got the Rockabye Baby! Lullaby renditions of eagles yesterday. I like it! It is soft music sounds like piano, organ, xylophone, synthesizer, etc. Of course even though there are no singers on it, I find myself singing along. The songs on the cd are.......
Hotel California
Peaceful Easy Feeling
Desperado
New Kid in Town
Take it Easy
One of these Nights
Witchy Woman
Tequila Sunrise
The Best of My Love
The Long Run
I bought the cd @ Amazon but you can check out their website at www.rockabyebabymusic.com to see their other cds. The cd on Amazon was $16.98 & they have lots of others such as Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Queen, Guns N' Roses even Kanye West! I have listened to it because I bought me one!! :hilarious:

Cool! I must get this for my new grandson! I'm sure his Mommy and Daddy will be more than thrilled, but he can listen to it when he's at Grammys'! Evidently I didn't train my son in music well enough, so I will work on that with Cutter! T likes the Eagles, but nothing like I do!
Thanks HB!

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
You guys do indeed make a really cute couple. Great that he feeds your addiction so nicely.
I think I will get the baby music cd for Thomas and Daniel.
I had to meet my photography course director in Monday for lunch near where I work and I suggested Costa as it's a bit quieter. I don't normally lunch there. Anyway just as we were buying food I realised LE was playing in the background. Then OOTN. Yes! It was the Greatest Hits CD. Think I will be eating in Costa more often when I get back after sick leave

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
OMG - Love that the Eagles have Rock-a-Bye Baby lullabies.
And T&H - I'll echo the others ... you and your beau do make a very cute couple. You've been together so long, you're beginning to look alike. He could pass as your brother. Sounds like he's a keeper! :applause:
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
12 years as a beautiful couple, GREAT TH:cheers:

Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I'm not a golf fan but the Honda Classic from Florida was on television last weekend and the winner was Russell Henley from Georgia.
Very disconcerting hearing the commentary:
'...Henley is going for an eagle...(or birdie for that matter!) ;-)
-
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles

I am watching CSI right now and the episode is this rock n roll based theme. Gene Simmons made an appearance and their was of course a murder for the CSI's to solve. They just found a body in a dumpster and one of them said "this is like hotel California- you can check out any time you like but you can never leave" Did not expect that one! lol
