Ooh, thanks for doing that, Soda! Yes, they are VERY adorable there. I absolutely loved that tour.
I like this video:

Don Henley sings Solo Hotel California
I hadn't seen this before.

Oh my gosh Nancy! Did he lick her hand??????? It sure looked like it! Then he got that cute little grin that said he was quite pleased with himself. lol And she smile and gave him a look. lol :hilarious: That is SOOOO cute! Love those two together. Joe and Lindsey may have been the "two great loves of her life," but her and Don definently still have chemistry together!
I watched this last night for the first time. My goodness it's hard to want to move from in front of the tv. He's awesome. I love how he's a little looser on stage than he is with the Eagles.
Couldn't find a clip: They're Not Here They're Not Coming was one of my favorite songs to see him perform. And of course this one.

Ah, love that one!
Here's a wonderful version of Boys of Summer (ignore the inexplicable Dong Henuri):
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXbS5nUXocc[/ame]
Wow, what language is that in?
The End of the Innocence and the Boys of Summer Videos are fantastic!
I noticed that too!!! My first reaction when i saw that was literally "OH MY GOD!!!" with a hand over my mouth. Of course I had to replay that part a few times. He is sooo darn cute!! Oh, i would love to be in Stevie's shoes during that moment in the video. And Maleah, your so right about Don and Stevie's chemistry they are really cute together.
Soda, thanks so much for posting that BOS video. I absolutely love that version. It's so beautiful. And might I add that Don is looking pretty darn good during that Story Tellers concert.
I know! I had to watch it over...and over...and over...and over again! LOL I had the same reaction! I gasped and literally giggled out loud. LOL! I can't believe he did that....and his little giggle and smile with his shoulders shaking from his laugh was just too cute. I loved the look she had on her face when she looked over at him too. So cute. And she didn't miss a beat! Didn't even really look startled that he did it!
I thought she looked like she thought about slapping him! LOL! I think it's great that they have such a great relationship still. I still wonder how Sharon feels tho when she sees things like that! :eyebrow: I don't think I'd be confident enough if my husband was licking an ex's hand! JMHO.
When she put her hand to his cheek, I thought, "Aw." When he licked her hand, I thought "WOAH!" lol And no, she didn't look shocked. Maybe that was one of things he liked to do back in the day... ;)
Since his wife gets a lot more than a hand lick on a regular basis, though, I imagine she didn't sweat it. lol
I think Don loves it when Stevie gets "touchy-feely" with him. The Eagles have their rehearsed back-and-forths, but I bet that gets pretty old! Stevie brought on a whole new concert experience for him!
I have nothing remotely coherent to say, so this will have to suffice... :fainting:
I found this video while I was browsing Flickr. I've never seen it before.

LOL that's great!!! There's one featuring Lindsey Buckingham too!
That was great. Don makes a terrific beatnik.
I recognize Sheryl Crow (with really short hair) but who are the other people in Don's clip? And what is SonicNet anyway? I've never heard of it.
The emo-looking guy is Johnny Resnick from the Goo Goo Dolls. I didn't recognize the other guy right off, but underneath the clip it says he is named "Beenie Man." Mmmkay. lol
I was trying to remember what Sonicnet.com was, too. The site tells you nothing.
Mmmmm that is a really lovely version.
Here's a little different version of Leather and Lace. I've never heard it before. Don's voice **SIGH**

An "interesting" arrangement of Hotel California from Don's concert DVD.

Why Don Why??

Good morning! For some reason I woke with this song on my mind.
While browsing this popped up....

I love You Don't Know Me At All--that is another one of Don's underrated songs, IMO.
That was a great clip, thanks for posting it FFL. Love when Don stuck his hands out like Frankenstein when they played that little organ bit at the very end of the song, and love how he & Dave do that 'You Da Man" stuff. Wish whoever posted that clip on YouTube had included the bit when he sat down to talk with Dave afterwards.
And Peek--great clip of Leather & Lace! With that minimal guitar, you can really hear their voices well. They both sound so young.
Okay, i may be really sleepy right now after working all night but it looks to me like Don is lip singing here. I could be wrong though.

This was the first time for me to see this performance. Don struggles a little bit with his voice but he still pulls it off wonderfully.

**SIGH**
Yeah, Don is lip-syncing on "Top of the Pops" but that's what everybody did on that show. It was like the British version of "Solid Gold."
To be honest I had never heard of TOTP till a few years back. The Sweet were on there constantly and on the Sweet board we have talked about this before--always synced. There is even a video somewhere of Sweet (don't remember what song) but Mick Tucker, the drummer, thru his sticks into the audience and you can still hear the drums distinctly. :hilarious: I know Solid Gold, American Bandstand, all those kind of shows, that's just the way it was.
Regardless, Don looks pretty darn good in that video!!!!
I love that TOTP video - absolutely adorable! Soda's right, everybody used to lip-sync on that show. The only person I have noticed singing live consistently on TOTP, even back in the early '70s, is David Bowie. Strange. It obviously could be done...
I went to see it filmed once, a couple of years ago. The studio was incredibly small and the audience is literally within feet of the artist. Oh, to have been there when Don was performing!
I agree that You Don't Know Me At All is a great song.
Not a Don video but associated kind of :D A lot of people cover "Boys of Summer" on there and I cringe when I hear it.....but I actually really like the guy's voice that sings with the Army band here!

I thought this was so funny.....Will Ferrell and David Grohl signing Leather and Lace.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlLzAWUY6Xo[/ame]
OMG---I almost lost it about 4:40 when Will starts touching David tenderly! :hilarious: I'm crying from laughing so hard! I will have to find this on YouTube and send it to my daughter-she loves David Grohl! Thanks for posting that Jojo!
Aah, I needed that. Hilarious!
