Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
Henley said they sometimes change the way they perform their classic hits on stage. "Sometimes, you go to a Bob Dylan concert and you have no idea what song he is singing. Sometimes we jam a little bit, and sometimes, we stretch a little bit. There is always a nice balance."
They do?
Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
Yes - I noticed that before but I didn't want to say anything. They may think they're doing something different occasionally (usually in Joe's songs) but it's hard for the audience to tell. He's right about Bob though.

I also like Don's "We're doing this 'til we keel over" attitude. Lucky us!

Eagles' China Ticket Prices Ask Fans to Take It to the Limit
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...the-limit.html
Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
Interesting read. I did a few quick count-ups-on-fingers, and ticket prices were a lot more affordable for Australia (as a proportion of the average person's income). I hope the concert goes really well for them - Joe's comment during the Taiwanese interview that they pay a lot of attention to the audience's response really started me thinking about whether there would be a different "feel" to the concerts in Asia.
Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
I'd bet that the audience will definitely have a different vibe. The Eagles encounter language barriers in European countries, but it's still Western culture. Eastern culture is a different matter entirely. It's not as if they've never played the East - they've played Japan as early as 1976. However, Japan has always been more open to the West. China has historically been more isolated and to this day, the Chinese government is involved in major human rights controversies. It's a whole 'nother world.
Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
I hope when the Asian leg of the tour is over, we will hear more from the band about their reactions and experiences in the places that they visited for the first time. Like other acts, I expect the bands' visits to these places are a one-time event. For the average fan, I guess they don't bemoan that in the same way we do because they probably have no expections that they will ever see a band live.
Re: Eagles Mentions in the Press
I'd really like to hear their impressions of this leg of the tour.
Actually, I'd like to hear their impressions of any part of the tour! It'd be great to have a really well thought-out interview...

Your wish has been granted, EK! "L&M Eagles Fastlane" have done a lot of detective work on the Asian visit & have discovered an audio interview with Charles Ke. A picture of her having the back of her shirt signed was posted in another thread. The interview is fantastic! Glenn even comments on the Taiwan interview. Go to their website to have a listen.
Kudos to L&M for all their hard work in finding this interview!
