Again, does anyone know what is with the workman's boots (check out the new Grammy picture with Don sitting down on bench and again he has those boots on, but this time they are somewhat polished) that Don wears all the time? Does he have foot problems? Anyone?

Don wears those boots in memory of his Dad. I guess he wore work boots like that back in the day. He told about it somewhere, book, interview or something. And I think he finds them comfy!

My first post and I haven't even introduced myself. I've been lurking for a few months in between doing schoolwork. Will introduce myself later. For now I'll say I'm a fan since 1974.

I have to go find wherever I saw that, but I believe those old boots are THE boots he had when his dad was alive. Muddy Waters (or some blues guitarist) said he had bird poop on his boot and Don said it was white paint. In Nov. 2009 I saw Don in Chicago and he appeared to have new boots on. They looked like the shiny boots in the picture. When the Eagles started touring, he had the old boots back on. He's probably still breaking them in :)
