Whoa, I was in Austin for the TBS concert just a few weeks ago, and it was still quite warm. LOL...crazy. Everyone there must be pretty excited about getting snow.

In the last week both NMB and NKIT have welcomed me back. I've been here all along but I've also been busy and haven't had a lot to say. It's still nice to be missed.

The other day, I heard that "Public Health England" are carrying out a review of the "growing problem of prescription drug addiction" and that they're particularly concerned about women in their 50s and 60s. I'm not on any prescribed drugs, but at the moment I can understand why women of my age might be. How are we expected to juggle jobs, home, husband, ageing parents and children while finding time to keep ourselves fit and healthy?

I'd written a lot about what's going on in my life at the moment, but decided I didn't want to put it out there. It could be a lot worse and I'm going on holiday later this week. Sometimes, I think divorce is the answer but I'm joking. I think.

I get it. In the U.S. a recent study has shown an increase in alcohol consumption among women and older Americans and is being described as a growing public health problem.

I hope things go better for you, missus.

This night 11 years ago I joined the Border. I made a tremendous amount of friends and have seen shows and visited countries I never would have if I had t joined this lovely group. At that time in my life I was on career break and had 2 small kids Now my kids are teenagers, my son is bigger than me and I’m back working. And my mother is ill and needs help So I don’t get on as much as I used to back then.

But I DO love the times I do get here and have nothing but good to say about the wonderful group of people I have the privilege of knowing here.

Thank goodness you joined! I am grateful to have you as a member and, more importantly, as a friend!
