Wishing you all the best too FP.
Really good luck, FP. I hope it goes well.
Hello everyone sorry I havent been around much been doing lots of work almost 4 months to graduation!
Thanks, AT, for the study tip!
Best of luck FP - I hope it all goes well for you.
Sorry to hear about your mother, GA. My uncle has Parkinson's and it is tough I have to admit. Take all the help you're offered. My own mother has had a sinus and chest infection for the last two weeks and just can't seem to shift them. She's worn out from medication but it's a worry.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes. We are hoping thatat least in the short term the new medication will make my Mum better than she has been, after that we will see. When dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers Mum wouldn't let any of us register with support groups, or enlist other help etc, but I think we learned our lesson there adn I will be as proactive as I can be in terms of lookim for help/advice etc.
Julie, hopefully by now your surgery is complete and you have the chance to sleep it off and fully recover - been praying for you a lot these last few days
DD hope your mam is better soon. I think I've picked up something similar myself - I'm off to the doctor after work - its DEFINITELY in the air here!
Fp, thinking of you and hoping all is well.
FP, I hope the worst is over and you'll make a speedy recovery - although you probably won't be reading any of this for a while.
GA, I feel for you. It's hard enough when a parent becomes ill but they can make it so much harder by refusing help and insisting they can cope. I was lucky with my father as he was willing to accept help and remained gracious (and sensible) to the end but my father-in-law promises to be quite a challenge. He's fiercly independent but also paranoid and delusional at times.
Julie got through the surgery, had 2 days in intensive care unit and is now in a normal ward. Awaiting test results on the removed tissue. Should be OK to go home in a week or so.
Mike
FP's husband posted in FB thats she is over her surgery and will recuperate in the ward for the next week or so. There will be tests on the tissue removed so of course we all hope that they find nothing worth worrying about
Thank you for the update, GA.
Yes, thanks Ga. I've been wondering too.
Just fyi, on March 1, someone named Mike, whom I presume to be Fp's husband, posted on her status in the Alphabetical Songs game thread, post #1526.
Thanks for the head up, LT. I didn't want to move Mike's post from that thread, but I went ahead and copied it over here for those who may not visit the other thread. It's post #369 on the previous page.
We are thinking about you, Julie and wishing you the best for a quick and full recovery.
Thanks very much, Dreamer. :-)
Keeping you in my thoughts, Fp, and still wishing you all the best. Get well soon.
Best wishes and 'get well soon' from me too.
Thanks for the update and sending best wishes to FP too.
Best wishes and get well soon to FP from me also.
Dreamer moved it to this thread. WB FP - glad all seems to be ok

I'm late with this, but welcome home, FP. I hope you heal quickly and that everything is good.
Thanks everyone again. The stitches are gone now but it's still sore! On a positive note, I've lost some weight!
Great to hear your progress. Onwards and upwards!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Fp, good news!
On my home front, my husband had rotator cuff surgery last week and he has been in a lot of pain. They gave him a 'block' which didn't work, so they had to put him out with anesthesia. From my understanding, if it had worked his arm and shoulder would have been numb for a couple days after the surgery. He didn't get that numbness and has been in horrible pain right upon waking up. Plus it made him sick. He has had a few very rough days, but is feeling better finally. I'm his therapist (doctor's orders) and he doesn't like me very much right now, but even that is getting better and in just a week he can do the exercises easier and it doesn't hurt as bad. They said recovery time is 4-6 weeks. He's an outdoors kind of guy, so this laying around all day doesn't sit well, but he has to! He can't lay down to sleep either. Thankfully he can sleep in his recliner. Thankfully, it's March Madness time and he loves college basketball! Prayers or positive thoughts requested please!
Oh that sounds uncomfortable. I'll say a prayer for him, Brooke. What's hubby's first name? PM me if you prefer.
Sending all best wishes to your hubby, Brooke. Hope he continues to heal quickly! :-)
Sending prayers for your husband too Brooke.
I hope your hubby feels better soon, Brooke!
Brooke, I feel for him & hope he recovers soon.
