Thanks for reposting the pic TM2!!! :D I couldn't see the original post either and that's a nice collection.
Of course you have my prayers SC but this is an insane situation. Many people are able to continue working (perhaps with a minimal amount of support) even if they have a disorder. I hope you will be one of them.
Do you not have to pay pension contributions? Or serious Illness benefit contributions? If so there will have to be a way to maintain your income too.
Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well.
I haven't been on here much for the past month because I've been really busy in real life. I really didn't much of a Christmas "break," lol. I start my spring semester of college on Monday. My class schedule is normal, unlike last semester, so I hope that I can get back on here more often then.
This past Monday night, a squall line of severe tornadic thunderstorms swept over southwest Georgia. NWS issued close to a dozen different tornado warnings, including 2 for my town. I've never been that scared in my life. The destruction and damages are wide spread. Half of my town looks like a disaster area, with downed trees, powerlines, and poles and damaged homes and strictures. The big city, Albany, is in a similar situation. Apart from some downed tree limbs, my mom and I escaped unscathed, but many people are still without power 3 days later. Several counties and towns are like this. It'll be a long time before southwest Georgia gets back to normal.

On top of this, my car briefly caught on fire Tuesday night because of a short in the cellphone car charger. Luckily, it was quickly put out, but the car is a mess. It should be drivable after we can clean it up, though.
I live in Tornado Alley, so I know how badly a storm like this can impact the community. Let's hope you've all seen your share of bad weather damage this year.
Take care and good luck, Kim.
Wow, Kim! I'm so glad you and your mom are ok after this! If it's not one thing, it's something else!
Good luck in your next semester too!
Wow, I'm so glad you and you're mom are ok Kim. That is so scary and why I've always been afraid of tornados.
That looks too close for comfort. I'm glad you are ok.
You said "my car" - does this mean you are driving now?
Good luck with this semester.
Oh, how scary, Kim! So glad you are OK!
Good to hear from you, Kim! Glad you escaped tornado damage (except for the tree).
I just finished the first draft of my Eagles music inspired 6th novel!!! :D I’m so excited to finally have this done as I’ve been working on it since last April and was hoping to get the draft done before school starts. I’ve posted before but this story is based off a lot of the scenes and story I used to imagine about 20 years ago when I was 10/11-years-old listening to my parents’ Eagles “Greatest Hits” CDs. After Glenn passed almost a year ago I kept listening to the Eagles and his solo music and those old scenes came back to me and I decided to finally try writing them into a novel. I also combined it with a few other story ideas I’ve had over the years and it’s worked. :D
Don’t want to give too many details away as I won’t be able to start the revising stage till at least May with my college classes starting back up on Tuesday, but it’s a romantic drama set in the modern day Nashville music scene and it’s title is “Playing with Fire”. :) I also already have my playlist on Spotify as well with the playlists for my other novels, but I always include a copy in the actual book. Includes a lot of other non-Eagles songs too. Very excited to work with it more and hopefully get it out there later this year or early next year.
Very cool. Congratulations to you, Amanda! Good premise and a good title too. Best of luck.
Thanks NMB!!! :D I'm very excited to get to this stage in the process.
That's awesome, Buffyfan. I love your title, "Playing with Fire"; I associate it with a few Eagles solo song titles, too: Hearts on Fire, Can't Put Out This Fire, Playing in the Deep End, Playing It Cool, maybe others.
Thanks Delilah!!! :D The title's got multiple meanings, especially how it's used as a phrase as a warning but also in a musical sense, and some of the other songs that are on my playlist for it does have those aspects and the similar themes as those songs.
Way to go Buffy!! Well done
Thanks GA!!! :D
My college classes start today and both of them are going to keep me pretty busy as one is a Personal Finance class and the other is Business Ethics with lots of writing assignments. I'll still be checking a couple times a day but might not be able to post that much. I'm looking forward to my classes though especially since I'm hopefully in my final year now and graduate early next year.
Good luck on your classes and congrats on finishing your draft!
Thanks Soda!!! :D I'm super busy with it all but it's going well.
Been back from New Zealand for a while, and am getting back into things. Hello Eagles people.
Hello, AT. Missed you. Hope all is well.
:yay: AT! Missed you! So happy that you have returned to us!
Thanks!
Welcome back AT!!! :D
Hello, AT, welcome back!
Well winter hit about a month ago. Then it cleared up making nice icy roads. Now today we are having a Winter Storm Warning. Up to 12" of snow in the valleys and more in the mountains, With wind gusts up to 40mph. Yikes. Is Spring every going to get here? Also, have to travel to my daughters tomorrow about 1 1/2 hours away. Oh what fun it is to live in the Rocky Mountains! LOL
Glad you're back, AT!
Yikes, DJ! Drive careful tomorrow!
I wish we would get some snow. We've had an inch or two a time or two this winter, and ice the weekend I was gone. Not really a normal winter for here. We usually have several 5 or 6 inch snows each season. My grandson is three and hasn't been able to make a snowman yet! He was sick the first snow and the second skiff was too dry. He has his snow boots, pants, and etc all ready but here we are with gray, ugly mud! :scowl:
Aww, I bet the little guy looks cute in his snow outfit. I had a snowsuit when I was a kid - used to pretend I was an astronaut on a distant planet of snow.
Wow, all the talk of snow is just awesome to me! I'm in NE Texas (of course) and we hardly get any snow. I do remember lots of snow days when I was a wee youngster but not anymore. The most we get it seems only lasts a couple of days and that's for the whole winter season. We did have a few flurries earlier this year and in two days the temps were back up in the 70's....go figure.
Sorry I haven't been around much. Been working with some ADMIN's on Guns N Roses websites and focusing on School, Recording and Game Of Thrones. It is Snowing Here as well but we have gotten mostly rain so far.
I am a Second Semester Senior now. Hopefully I don't get exactly three snow days because I need to see Tom Petty and Joe in Hartford and my last day of school is my graduation so yeah.
I made this a few days ago!

I just thought I would mention that I will be having major surgery for a liver tumour some time in the next 30 days. I won't know if it's benign or malignant until after the operation, but it's very, very large & has to come out. It has been a stressful time for me as I'm sure you can appreciate!
Also very hot here in Sydney, a long hot summer, which is not helping. I have absolutely NO discomfort, but I'm conscious of it all the time.
:yuck: :worried: :nervous:
:hug:Please accept my best wishes for a successful procedure, a speedy pain-free recovery and a quick and certain result of benign. You will be in my thoughts.
Best wishes, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
