Wishing you all the best too FP.
Really good luck, FP. I hope it goes well.
Hello everyone sorry I havent been around much been doing lots of work almost 4 months to graduation!
Thanks, AT, for the study tip!
Best of luck FP - I hope it all goes well for you.
Sorry to hear about your mother, GA. My uncle has Parkinson's and it is tough I have to admit. Take all the help you're offered. My own mother has had a sinus and chest infection for the last two weeks and just can't seem to shift them. She's worn out from medication but it's a worry.
Thanks everyone for your good wishes. We are hoping thatat least in the short term the new medication will make my Mum better than she has been, after that we will see. When dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers Mum wouldn't let any of us register with support groups, or enlist other help etc, but I think we learned our lesson there adn I will be as proactive as I can be in terms of lookim for help/advice etc.
Julie, hopefully by now your surgery is complete and you have the chance to sleep it off and fully recover - been praying for you a lot these last few days
DD hope your mam is better soon. I think I've picked up something similar myself - I'm off to the doctor after work - its DEFINITELY in the air here!
Fp, thinking of you and hoping all is well.
FP, I hope the worst is over and you'll make a speedy recovery - although you probably won't be reading any of this for a while.
GA, I feel for you. It's hard enough when a parent becomes ill but they can make it so much harder by refusing help and insisting they can cope. I was lucky with my father as he was willing to accept help and remained gracious (and sensible) to the end but my father-in-law promises to be quite a challenge. He's fiercly independent but also paranoid and delusional at times.
Julie got through the surgery, had 2 days in intensive care unit and is now in a normal ward. Awaiting test results on the removed tissue. Should be OK to go home in a week or so.
Mike
FP's husband posted in FB thats she is over her surgery and will recuperate in the ward for the next week or so. There will be tests on the tissue removed so of course we all hope that they find nothing worth worrying about
