Guys, I had so much fun on Sunday! The library is beautiful! Went through a big renovation a couple of years ago. The place is huge. About 500 people showed up for the event. My friend and I got fourth row seats. Craig Johnson talked for about an hour — he actually went over a bit, but we didn't care. He said something I really appreciated (my friend even ribbed me when he said it). After he spoke, he signed (books and whatever). The seats in the front were great for listening to him, but he signed in the back so we were toward the back of the line. No worries... he spoke to each and every person who brought something to sign and acted like they were the only ones there. No rushing. I told him he said something that I needed to hear. He asked what it was. I replied, "I won't say, but maybe I'll come back some day and show you the results."
He is a great storyteller, on paper and in talks. If you ever get a chance to hear him, go... you won't regret it!
So glad you had a great time, CA!
Sounds like you had a great time, CA!
Just asking for good thoughts and prayers. I spoke to a Hospice consultant about my mom today. We're waiting on word of whether she will be admitted, but it's a call I needed to make. Thanks.
Sending prayers up and good thoughts your way, Pippin. I'm sorry things have gotten to this point, but everyone I have ever talked to about hospice said it was a wonderful thing for their loved one. I pray that things will work out in the best possible way for your mom and family. May God send His peace and comfort to your mom; and to yourself in this difficult time.
Thanks, FF! I really appreciate it!
Pippin, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother. My heart goes out to you all. I am so sorry that it has come to your Mom needing to be placed in Hospice. My Mother was in Hospice Care and the the people were amazing. She was well cared for and treated with love, respect and kindness.
Seeing how she was treated made us realize we made the right decision. have never heard anyone speak ill of a family member who was in Hospice Care. Please know that my prayers will be with you and your family. Sending hugs to you at this difficult time.
