I know I'm REEAALLLLY late with this, but I want to recognize the 16th anniversary of Long Road Out of Eden. Of that the course, I love the album and am so glad that the band was able to release a great album in this millennium.

Happy 17th Birthday to Long Road Out of Eden.
Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
Happy Birthday to Long Road Out of Eden! There is quite the variety on this album! I'm glad each member got to stretch a bit. I will say it contains two of probably my least favorite Eagles cuts: Frail Grasp on the Big Picture, and Business as Usual. But also some of my favorites, so I'm glad that they kept the double length.

Just the other day I heard "Somebody" for the first time in a while. It rocks! They did so many cool things on that album, and it really gets overlooked. I love that they put themselves out there one last time. So many "legacy" bands haven't been creative since Reagan was in office.
I agree, Soda. I think some of those "legacy" groups were dependent on outside material, (weren't creative to start with, lol!) so when they were no longer big, good songs were no longer being sent their way. Glenn was very astute from the beginning, wanting everyone to be writers. And so much more range of style and topics than most acts. Long Road Out of Eden really showcased their versatility.
