Yesterday was the date that the Hotel California single first hit #1 (5/7/77). I thought it was interesting that exactly 30 years and one day later (5/8/07) was the day that the Eagles settled their lawsuit with Don Felder. Coincidence - hmmmm!!!!!

OMG - When I saw today's entry a few minutes ago, a huge smile came to my face. The 2003 Richmond show was my very first Eagles concert ever. I was ecstatic that night because it only took me 31 years of being a fan before I got to see a live show.

I just looked and today is the day Hotel California was certified Gold in 1977!

My radio station just had 2 in the row from our guys and said that for there Recycled Rock this afternoon it will be an Eagles tune and a remake of that tune to celebrate the anniversary of Hotel California going gold 32 years ago! Will try to listen for it later this afternoon.

Another event happened today that was pretty monumental - it was up earlier. On this day in 1990, Glenn, Don, and Timothy got together to perform at a Walden benefit. It was the first time they had performed together since the Long Beach concert in 1980. At the time, reunion talks were rampant, but as we know it would take a few more years for that to materialize.
